Former VShojo virtual YouTuber Zentreya has cemented herself among the most popular vtubers in the world by becoming the most-watched English-speaking vtuber.
Zentreya is a female English-speaking vtuber who has been in the industry for many years and has garnered a loyal fan following along the way. The vtuber recently left VShojo along with many other vtubers, such as the popular Ironmouse, due to the agency’s mishandling of funds and other related issues.
Zentreya’s popularity has continued to increase even after her departing VShojo, and the vtuber has become the top most-watched English-speaking vtuber. The streaming industry is extremely competitive, with every content creator trying to become the best, and Zentreya has made history with her impressive efforts in becoming the most popular English-speaking vtuber, at least for now.
Zentreya has cemented herself the top of the most-watched vtuber listings, with an astonishing 4.72 million cumulative hours watched by her viewers.
Zentreya managed to emerge on top with the most watch time in the second quarter of 2025, though it wasn’t an easy task. She bested Hololive EN’s Koseki Bijou, who had only slightly fewer hours watched, as well as Ironmouse, who for some time was the most-watched English-speaking vtuber.
Zentreya’s 4.72 million hours were significantly more than those of the other vtubers, but time will tell whether she’s able to maintain her newfound relative popularity.
Streamers are highly competitive and eager to break each other’s records, so Zentreya will also have to increase her efforts to retain her spot as the most-watched English-speaking VTuber. Many viewers have credited the vtuber’s recent surge in watched hours to a subathon that took place in June. Zentreya’s subathon was her first ever, and it’s no surprise that it helped increase her watch time and solidify her popularity. Vtuber Ironmouse once even surpassed the records set by popular streamer Kai Cenat as the most subbed streamer on Twitch through the use of a subathon.
Zentreya has been streaming for a long time and has attained significant popularity during said time, but this is the first time she has reached the top spot despite having carved out an established place among the most popular vtubers. This is a marvelous feat on its own, and the fact that she was able to dethrone the former most-watched streamer, Ironmouse, who has set many records of her own, shows just how far Zentreya has come as a content creator.
