Zentreya announces graduation from VShojo, why she’s leaving

Zentreya most-watched vtuber

One of VShojo’s founding members, Zentreya, has played a pivotal role in the success of the vtuber agency but has now announced her graduation, leaving fans wondering why she’s leaving the agency and what comes next for her.

Zentreya is a massively popular female vtuber who originally debuted as an independent streamer in 2017 and primarily focused on VRChat roleplaying. She joined vtuber agency VShojo in 2020 alongside Froot, Hime Hajime, Ironmouse, Nyatasha Nayanners, and Silvervale. The vtuber uses multiple forms during her streams, including her popular cyborg and dragon models.

Zentreya is also known to use Text-to-Speech so she can keep her real identity even more private. She has a loyal fan following that follows her content and she currently boasts more than 577,000 followers on Twitch. This is why it came as a surprise to many fans when Zentreya announced her graduation from VShojo.

Why is Zentreya graduating from VShojo?

Zentreya explained to viewers during a stream that she no longer knows what she wants to do as a vtuber and that she’s leaving VShojo to explore her options and figure out what’s next for her.

VShojo’s official statement about Zentreya’s graduation was brief and praised the vtuber for her contributions and the lasting impact they’ve left. Zentreya was also credited for bringing better inclusivity in the vtuber world by collaborating with both other VShojo members and vtubers outside of the agency. VShojo stated that Zentreya would keep her IP and wished her the best for the future.

Zentreya graduation

Zentreya streamed her announcement on Twitch and tweeted that she would graduate from VShojo on July 11. She expressed appreciation for her time at the agency, but stated that things have now changed and she wants to forge her own path moving forward. The vtuber thanked her fans for their continued support and requested that they support her in her new adventure. She ended her announcement by wishing VShojo the best.

Many popular vtubers including Shylily commented on Zentreya’s tweet to express their support for the content creators’ new journey. Some fans were confused about that future, so Zentreya further clarified things after making her announcement. Zentreya tweeted again to reassure fans that she isn’t going anywhere, saying everything would be fine and that Zentreya would continue to spread laughter and smiles among her viewers.

Zentreya will continue to stream content as an independent vtuber while using her old model. But fans are still worried about the future of VShojo given this latest absence. Some say Ironmouse is the only original and truly popular member left with the agency who is actively streaming. They worry that the agency may be in trouble given its recent slew of graduations, ranging from Geega to Zentreya.
