Valorant hitting consoles has players wondering if all their precious skins will join them in switching from console to PC and back.
Players have been waiting years for Valorant to hit consoles, and rumors about it were all over the internet. Riot Games put the rumors to rest and announced that Valorant was coming to consoles at Summer Games Fest 2024. Now, players are wondering whether Valorant will have cross-progression between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Riot has addressed cross-progress already, and fans may be excited to hear the news.
Valorant players will keep their skins on consoles, and the game will support cross-progression between consoles and PC.
Riot has already announced that there will be cross-progression for Valorant. Players will use the same Riot ID to log in across all their devices, so they’ll always play on the same account. There are a few things that will go between PC and consoles because of this.
Most of this is great news for Valorant players. Being able to tackle Valorant’s seasonal battle passes from the couch on a console or a desk on PC will make unlocking all the accessories and skins easier. Keeping recruited agents is perfect for not having to grind the game out. Missions in particular may feel easier to some, especially if they’re better at using a controller than a mouse and keyboard.
However, those who have enjoyed the Game Pass content should play on an Xbox Series X or S. By connecting Xbox Game Pass to Riot Games, players can instantly unlock all of the agents. This feature will still be included on PC and on Xbox. Unfortunately, if players use that account on PS5, those agents will not be unlocked.
There’s also already news about gyro aim and crossplay for those eagerly waiting for their beta key.
