Hololive’s Altare Regis announced on X that he’s going on a hiatus and his fans want to know why and when the vtuber will return.
Altare Regis debuted in 2022, with Hololive’s Tempus alongside other vtubers like Axel Syrios, Magni Dezmond, and Noir Vesper. The vtuber has significant skills in FPS games and has competitively played games like Counter-Strike and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Altar Regis is also skilled in martial arts and holds a 4th-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a 2nd-degree black belt in Kumdo. Despite all his achievements, the vtuber is considered a kind person with a sweet voice by fans. However, he does have an evil side that manifests as the Demon God King.
Now, Altare Regis has shared some news with fans that has surprised them. On November 21, 2024, Altare Regis announced that he is going on a hiatus and fans wonder why the vtuber is taking a break and how long it’ll last.
The vtuber Altare Regis stated that he is taking a break from streaming to focus on his mental health.
In his X post, Altare Regis explained to his fans that his mental health has been “horrible this year” and he needs to focus on getting better. The vtuber elaborated that he doesn’t think he can make his viewers smile if he is unable to smile himself.
However, Altare Regis stated that he will continue to appear in all planned events and streams. This shows that even though the vtuber needs a break, he wants to honor his previous commitments.
Furthermore, streaming regularly takes a toll on streamers so it’s likely he thinks just taking a break from normal streaming will be beneficial for him. It’s sad for fans but isn’t uncommon for vtubers, or any other streamer, to go on a hiatus and then return once they’re better.
Altare Regis stated he plans to return from his break in one month, which would potentially place his return in December. However, he also noted that the break may end up running for even longer. Because of this, fans shouldn’t necessarily circle any date on their calendar.
The vtuber is stopping his streaming activities to recharge mentally and he likely doesn’t know when he’ll be ready to return.
However, the fact that Altare Regis informed his fans about his return once he’s better is a positive sign for fans. This means that the vtuber has full intentions of returning as soon as he is better.
