Epic Games has finally unbanned Jarvis “Jarvis” Khattri from Fortnite, allowing the long-banned player to once again play the game after 6 long years of waiting.
Jarvis began his career in 2014 by streaming Call of Duty gameplay as a member of FaZe Clan. He rose to fame when he transitioned to streaming Fortnite content in 2018, but that didn’t last long, as Epic Games banned him in 2019. The streamer tried his best to get unbanned and play Fortnite again, but Epic held its ground and refused to unban him.
Jarvis reinvented himself after his Fortnite ban and changed his content style to be more broadly entertainment-oriented. The streamer’s popularity has since grown, and he currently boasts 5.7 million subscribers on YouTube. But there was news in 2025 that Epic may unban Jarvis and the Fortnite player’s lifetime suspension was reversed in June.
Jarvis’ Fortnite ban was revoked because Epic has changed its policy to give a second chance to cheaters, allowing them to prove that they’ve changed.
In February, Epic shared that first-time offenders who are caught cheating will be banned from matchmaking for exactly one year. They’ll then receive a lifetime ban if they’re caught cheating a second time. The punishment for cheating in competitive tournaments is more severe as it entails a one-year ban from matchmaking and a lifetime ban from tournaments.
Jarvis only used cheats in his videos, so fans assumed he would be unbanned soon. Rumors were circulating that he’d be back as soon as the new policy goes into effect. In June, Jarvis tweeted that he had officially been unbanned from Fortnite. His fans are already excited about the news and are eagerly waiting for the player to start playing and streaming Fortnite once again.
Epic Games previously issued a lifetime Fortnite ban to Jarvis because the player had posted a video of himself cheating in the game.
Jarvis had shared a video on his YouTube channel where he was seen using an aimbot in Fortnite. This video changed everything for the streamer, whose identity was linked to Fortnite at the time. Epic took swift and harsh action against Jarvis, issuing a lifetime ban so he’d never be able to play Fortnite again.
Jarvis tried apologizing in a tearful video and many streamers offered their support to him. The general consensus was that the player hadn’t cheated in tournaments, so Epic shouldn’t make the punishment so severe. But Epic refused to budge and Jarvis’ Fortnite ban stayed intact. Jarvis played and streamed the game in 2020, but Epic logged him out as soon as his identity was made clear.
