Why did Suou Patra leave HoneyStrap?

Suou Patra

The vtuber Suou Patra is making waves as one of the more successful creators in the scene, but some fans wonder why she previously left 774 Inc. and how it’s connected to the HoneyStrap branch of the agency.

Suou Patra debuted in 2018 as a part of the HoneyStrap branch of the Japanese agency 774 Inc. The vtuber streamed primarily on YouTube and focused on ASMR and gaming content. While she was known for playing games and producing music, she has since started singing covers of popular songs. Suou quickly earned a massive fan following, but that’s not entirely thanks to the agency she debuted with. After all, she left 774 Inc. in 2023 to become an independent vtuber.

Some fans still wonder why the vtuber Suou Patra left the Japanese agency 774 Inc. and whether the reason was linked to the company’s HoneyStrap branch.

Why did Suou Patra graduate from 774 Inc.?

Souo Patra explained that management differences were why she chose to graduate from 774 Inc. and go independent.

774 Inc. posted Suou Patra’s graduation notice on their official X account but only stated that they respected the vtuber’s wish to go independent. The company further apologized to fans for the sudden announcement and thanked them for their support.

On the other hand, Suou Patra explained that she had been thinking about graduating for some time. The vtuber elaborated that she started having thoughts about leaving the agency when 774 Inc. disbanded the HoneyStrap branch. This seems to hint that the vtuber wasn’t in favor of the management’s decisions.

This is also the most common reason a vtuber graduates from an agency and goes independent. Suou Patra also stated in her YouTube stream that she would continue as usual even after graduating. The vtuber elaborated that, as an independent vtuber, she wants to focus more on her ASMR content.

Does Suou Patra still stream?

Suou Patra still streams ASMR and gaming content even after she graduated from 774 Inc.

The vtuber Suou Patra had purchased her avatar’s rights from 774 Inc. so she could continue streaming as usual. The content creator also kept ownership of her YouTube channel and her X account. She ensured everything that changed was done in the background.

For the fans, everything was the same and they still interacted with the vtuber as usual. In addition, the streamer continues to make ASMR and gaming content that she shares on her YouTube channel. The only change is that her YouTube channel’s name went from Patra Channel / 周防パトラ 【ハニスト to just Patra Channel / 周防パトラ.
