VYSE is still new in Valorant and is struggling to find a place in a roster stacked with capable sentinel. Recently, Riot delivered significant buffs for the masked hero in an effort to make her more appealing to Valorant players. Whether she finds her footing or not, Agent 27 won’t be waiting. Leakers have already uncovered details, including the codename for the next agent.
According to reports, Valorant Agent 27 is codenamed Terra. Here’s all we know about them.
Terra has been leaked as Valorant Agent 27, and while abilities remain unknown, speculation is already building around their role.
Previously, VYSE’s codename “Nox” was leaked, meaning ‘goddess of night,’ which clearly tied into her persona and abilities. Given this, it’s reasonable to break down Agent 27’s codename to speculate about their potential abilities. While VYSE ended up being a plant-based sentinel, Terra could be an earth-based agent, similar to Breach.
Leakers have discovered that Terra will be an initiator, which perfectly ties in with the code name. Valorant currently has seven initiators and all of them rank high on the agent tier list, standing as some of the most-played agents in the game. As one of the game’s most well-rounded roles, Agent 27 could introduce a unique twist to their abilities.
Healing remains a rare mechanic in Valorant, but Riot has emphasized that it is primarily tied to initiators. With Terra’s nature-inspired theme, there’s a strong possibility they could bring more healing options to the game.
It’s possible that the agent may be able to create sight-blocking waves of dust, concussing earthlike like Breach, or maybe even a sky-opening ultimate like Brimstone. However, all that would be plausible if our next agent is a human, not a Radiant. In the latter case, players should expect more Radianiate-powered abilities like Gekko, the most recent initiator.
We also know that Valorant Agent 27 is a male initiator. The last male agent was Iso, so this would be a refreshing addition to the roster.
Valorant Agent 27 is Colombian, according to Riot Games. This was confirmed by Riot in the official first look.
On December 9, the developer posted a short teaser of a man enjoying a cup of hot beverage with Arepa, a popular dish from South American countries like Colombia and Venezuela. The video was also captioned in Spanish, further confirming their origins. The teaser ends with Terra jumping off an aircraft, likely into the Valorant battlefield.
