You may want to hold off on your Valorant skin purchases because the next Night Market for Episode 9, offering cosmetics at a cut price, is coming soon.
Valorant has a stacked inventory of skins that Riot keeps refreshing with every other patch. Currently, there are over 400 skins in the game. While there’s clearly no shortage of skins, not everyone can afford the most expensive of the cosmetic items. For this reason, Riot introduced Night Market, a thrift store meant for players looking to save a few dolllars.
Night Market appears every two months, bringing in items that were released at least two acts prior to the release of the store. Here’s what to expect from the upcoming Night. Market.
The episode 9 Night Market will go live in Valorant on August 16, and will run through August 29. This means players will have 11 days to make their purchases before act 2 gets underway.
When the market goes live, a new tab with six cards will appear on the Valorant menu. Turning the cards will reveal Premium, Deluxe, and Select-tier skins at a discount ranging between 19%-45%. There’s no set limit on discount. The maximum discount in the Night Market record was 49%, but it’s very rare.
This act’s thrift store will include coveted skins like Fortune’s Hand, Magepunk, Cryostasis, and more. Both melee and gun skins are eligible for the store, except for the knife skins, which are priced above 4,350. It’s also worth noting that Exclusive and Ultra skins are not part of the Night Market sale pool, so don’t expect Elderflame or Protocol 781-A in your thrift store.
Players often have complaints about getting below-average items in the Night Market; that’s because the store only includes skins that you don’t already own. So if you’re a regular spender in Valorant, your cards may not be the flashiest. Those who rarely spend on skins are most likely to get coveted Premium items like Prime Vandal or Ion Sheriff.
