Since the first playtest ended, FragPunk fans have been wondering when the next beta will come, and Bad Guitar Studio has officially announced the date.
The unique free to play 5×5 shooter FragPunk went through the alpha stage from June 2024 to July 2024, where a limited number of players tried out the game. While the players couldn’t access the full game, they tested the features and accessed 10 characters and 15 weapons. The game has come into the spotlight again due to multiple popular streamers playing the game.
An official release date hasn’t been announced but FragPunk is expected to release in 2025. Bad Guitar Studio has now announced when the next Fragpunk beta will start.
The next FragPunk beta is coming in October 2024, and this time for a wider audience.
FragPunk announced on its official website that the next closed beta is coming to PC and Xbox in early October 2024. The studio further stated that players will see much improvement between the alpha and beta. Furthermore, there is much more new content including heroes, shard cards, maps, and more.
Bad Guitar Studio ensured fans that it took players’ feedback and suggestions seriously and tried to implement them in the game. One feedback implemented in the closed beta is the addition of Xbox. The FragPunk alpha was unplayable on Xbox platforms, but the beta will support Microsft consoles as well as crossplay between platforms.
Players can request access to the upcoming FragPunk closed beta on Steam and Xbox Insider Program.
Now that the next FragPunk beta is coming, PC players can simply request access by going to their Steam store page. Xbox players will need to follow some more steps than PC players before they can request access. They’ll need to download Xbox Insider Hub, join the Xbox Insider Program, and join the beta from previews.
Due to the excitement from fans worldwide, the next beta will also support more regions including North America, Latin America, Korea, and Japan. The beta also supports more languages including English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin.
