Valve introduced the Armory pass in CS2’s Armory update, but players wonder when the event will end, and we now have an answer.
The Counter-Strike 2 Armory update brings Valve’s take on the battle pass with more than 100 new skins. Despite it being an awaited feature, fans expressed their disappointment. It seems like fans were expecting something big, especially with CS2 turning one year old. However, to purchase the new items from the CS2 Armory pass, players require Armory credits. Armory credits are hard to acquire, so players are using exploits. Fortunately, Valve is cracking down hard on cheaters and issuing them year trade bans.
While the update has been released to mixed reviews from players, fans are confused about when the CS2 Armory pass will expire.
A CS2 developer has confirmed that the Armory is not a limited-time event and the Armory pass does not have an end date.
X user sarzitwice emailed Gabe Newell, the president of Valve Corporation, to ask about whether the Armory is a limited-time event. In the email, sarzitwice elaborated that fans were confused due to the wording in the Armory.
The X user stated that while the Deagle said “limited edition item,” that wasn’t mentioned on the collection items. She also gave some of her interpretations of the wording in the email. In addition, she requested that if Newell is unable to answer, he refer someone who can.
Nowell forwarded the email to a developer who answered the question, explaining everything and removing confusion. The CS2 developer stated that the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated will only be available for the duration shown on the Armory.
However, he elaborated that the Armory isn’t a limited-time event and the Armory pass doesn’t have an expiration date. Furthermore, the CS2 developer stated that if any of the rules or contents of the Amory change, they’ll be announced before the Armory is updated.
The CS2 developer didn’t give any details on how Valve will handle the Armory pass. However, the content will likely change, and Valve will release more limited-edition items in the future.
