The price of CS2 skins varies depending on their pattern and float, which dictate how rare and good-looking the item is. So, it’s only natural that skins with a rare pattern and a low float are more expensive than others.
Such skins become collectors’ items and are as expensive as a mansion or the latest sports car.
Without further ado, here is the most expensive skin in CS2 right now.

The most expensive skin in CS2 is the Karambit Blue Gem pattern #387, the crop of the crop of Blue Gem skins. This skin is half crystal blue and half gold.
A Karambit Blue Gem currently costs up to $2 million because of its rarity — fewer than 50 in the entire world. The ones that are this expensive have a float so low (0.00 to 0.07) that the blade reflects like a mirror.

The reason why the Karambit Blue Gem is such an expensive CS2 skin is that it’s extremely rare to obtain a full blue color on a Case Hardened.
Only 13 patterns are considered Blue Gems out of 370. The chance to pull one when opening a CS2 case is 1 in 617,000 (0,000162%).
And, to land on the best pattern (#387) in Factory New condition, the odds are 1 in approximately 131 million.
On top of all this rarity, the Karambit Blue Gem became extremely desirable thanks to Chinese traders. In Chinese culture, blue and gold represent luck, wealth, and prosperity.
So, since Chinese collectors joined the skin market in the past decade, the price of Karambit Blue Gem items has increased massively.
Since the odds of getting a Karambit Blue Gem in a case are ridiculously low, it’s best to save money and buy one in reputable skin trading sites, if you do have the money to splash on a single CS2 cosmetic.
