The time has come

Warzone 2.0: How to be the last one standing

The Warzone that we once knew has finally reset, eliminating the meta, everyones map knowledge, and finally, how to be the last one standing. Everyone is in the same position, clueless and hungry for their first win in the battlefields of Warzone 2.0.

With the lack of meta, everyone has a chance of winning, the entire match will be dependant on who has more skill and knowledge from prior Warzone play styles. Those with no knowledge will struggle, especially in these early hours of release.

Let’s be smart about this, simply “trying to win” never helps anyone, it just creates a snowball losing effect. So, come and learn the best ways to win your next game in Warzone 2.0 the smart way, and prosper against those who try defeat you.

Choices of Weaponry

The most vital part of success in Warzone is a players choice in weaponry. Considering there are hundreds weapon combinations, players will be running through the battle zone clueless, not knowing how to successfully build a “meta” rifle.

Here are a couple ideas that’ll surely serve you well:

  • Rifle: M4
  • Barrel: HIGHTOWER 20″ BARREL
  • Underbarrel: AGENT GRIP
  • Submachine Gun: VEL 46
  • Laser: POINT – G3P 04
  • Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
  • Underbarrel: XTEN GRAVEDIGGER
  • Magazine: 50-ROUND MAG
  • Sniper Rifle: MCPR-300
  • Muzzle: NIL SOUND 90
  • Underbarrel: LEVEL AIM BIPOD
  • Ammunition: .300 MAG OVERPRESSURED

We highly recommend that players run a sniper rifle every match, this is because there is a lot of camping, rat-like behaviour, and fear due to the early stages of Warzone 2.0, therefore you need to fight fire with fire and have a high power rifle.

Strategy and understanding

This early into release and nobody knows what they are doing, and this creates chaos within the first few days of release. This is because nobody has done their research and is somewhat “winging it” every match hoping they suddenly understand.

First things first, the safe zone now operates differently to what we remember, split into three simple steps: Safe zone splits into multiple circles, match continues as separate circles decrease in size, finally the circles merge into single safe zone.

To beat the safe zone, especially this early within the launch of Warzone 2.0, you are going to need to keep high ground. This will enable you to snipe with the use of cover, have 360 view of your location, and also parachute quickly to the next circle.

High ground will also allow the player to develop their understanding of the map, learning landmarks, regular places of enemy activity, and also the places of interest. Make sure to always bring an AR alongside your sniper, others will have the same idea.

Challenging your enemy

As mentioned, players are going to be cautious and less confident, allowing you to take advantage of that. This is because everyone is within a learning stage, testing what they can and can’t do, and you need to take advantage of that in order to win.

Players are camping and making sure they drop well away from enemy players, therefore you are going to challenge them, making sure you either mercilessly follow them from drop and take their life, or prey on their weaknesses.

Hence why the combination of a Sniper rifle and submachine gun comes in handy, if you can’t snipe a fellow enemy sniper, rush them. It’ll throw them off-guard and they certainly wont have the confidence, weaponry or play style to avoid certain death.

If you’ve really had enough of losing, then get your hands on a heavy helicopter, hover above the safe-zone until either you can’t anymore, or the last few zones, drop out, hide, then snipe the last player and successfully win the match of Warzone!
