The Vampire Survivors-like genre is set to get a new entry with some serious grimdark undertones as Warhammer Survivors is revealed by Warhammer and Boltgun creator Auroch Games.
From the creators of Warhammer 40,000, Doom-inspired game Boltgun, Warhammer Survivors will allow players to carve through legions of Skaven and Tyranids either as scions of the Imperium of Man or loyal survivors of the End Times in the world of Age of Sigmar.

With incredible pixel graphics, as we’ve come to expect from Auroch, Warhammer Survivors allows you to pick your character, grab dozens of weapons, upgrades, and everything we already love about the Survivors genre.
But thanks to the dual settings, the dark future of Warhammer 40,000, and the gothic horror of Age of Sigmar, players can also choose from an array of characters from both worlds. Malum Caedo, the protagonist of Boltgun, Cadian veteran Trooper Kozlowsky, and Brother Luca, a Space Marine Intercessor are some of the 40k choices. Meanwhile in the world of AoS, assassin Neave Blacktalon, slayer Gotrek Gurnisson, and Stormcast Eternals Vanquisher Sharynn Azurwrath are the characters you’ll be carving through Skaven with.

The Survivors genre has ballooned from Vampire Survivor’s Cult Success in 2022, into a huge market, with titles like Megabonk, Holocure, and Halls of Torment in thousands of Steam Libraries. Moreover, other franchises have recently tried to get in on the fun, with Deep Rock Galactic: Survivors and Soulstone Survivors. Now, Warhammer is taking the plunge, in its ever expanding series of titles.
Warhammer already has millions of fans of its tabletop offerings, but its video games are just as big of a market. The likes of Space Marine 2, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and Total Warhammer 3 have captivated millions more. Now, Warhammer Survivors will offer players an even more devilishly addictive choice to dive into the grimdark world of Warhammer.
Warhammer Survivors is available for wishlist now on Steam, and set to release in 2026. You can view the full trailer on YouTube.
