Ironmouse shocked fans by leaving VShojo after levying accusations against the vtuber agency, and now many other vtubers seem to be standing with her, speaking to or hinting at their own departures.
On July 22, Ironmouse opened Pandora’s box by announcing that she was leaving VShojo while stating that the agency had pocket money that should’ve gone to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Many other VShojo talents and others affiliated with the agency have since come forward with their own experiences of the agency’s bad financial dealings.
Ironmouse was the poster girl of VShojo, and her departure has seemingly started a chain reaction with multiple vtubers supporting her and speaking to leaving the agency. Independent vtuber Shylily has also weighed in on the situation, explaining why she didn’t join VShojo when the agency tried to recruit her.
In a tweet, Shylily offered her support to Ironmouse and said that VShojo tried to recruit her, but she found the agency’s financial dealings to be dubious.
Shylily is a significantly popular independent vtuber who is on good terms with many of the big virtual YouTubers, regardless of their affiliated agencies. The vtuber requested that everyone support Ironmouse and the Immune Deficiency Foundation and shared her own experience with VShojo, stating that the contract she was offered was full of red flags and was “basically legal robbery.”

Many other vtubers have come out in support of Ironmouse, and some VShojo content creators also appear to be distancing themselves from the agency. Henya the Genius canceled her stream and then announced a break in a since-deleted tweet. She then made another tweet announcing a new stream in which she’ll discuss her future going forward. Other names such as Kson, K9Kuro, and Michi Mochievee have removed the mention of VShojo from their social media accounts, with some already making official their departure from the agency.
Many fans are speculating that these vtubers are standing in solidarity with Ironmouse as some leave the agency. VShojo co-founder Phillip “Mowtendoo” Fortunat, who left the agency in May, has also weighed in on the situation. In a tweet, MowtenDoo tagged VShojo CEO Justin “TheGunrun” Ignacio and expressed his shock at the accusations.
VShojo fans have seen many graduations from within the agency recently. Popular talents ranging from Matara Kan to Zentreya have left the agency, and there was much speculation about why vtubers were continuing to leave VShojo. Ironmouse has stated that she is taking legal action against VShojo and that her fans will need to wait for that outcome. But it won’t be surprising if more VShojo members continue to leave the agency in the meantime.
