Vtuber Shiori Novella makes her 3D debut on Hololive

Hololive fans are celebrating the first appearance of Shiori Novella’s 3D model after a period of absence.

Appearing in the lineup in July 2023, Shiori Novella is part of the third generation of Hololive Vtubers called Advent that includes both Nerissa Ravencroft and Koseki Bijou. She has over 500,000 subscribers following her YouTube, which has covers, short videos, and even an original song. Shori has finally gotten big enough that Hololive has given her the company’s most coveted reward, and she decided to share it with her fans on August 2, 2024.

Shiori Novella’s 3D debut

Shiori first appeared in 3D form on August 2, 2024 with four new songs.

In the livestream, Shiori arrived in the courtyard from her nightmares and transformed from 2D to 3D by stepping through a portal. This major change led her to burst out into song with one notable lyric being, “Don’t you want to be a moth?” Shiori took every opportunity to show off her new three-dimensional form with dabs and apple tricks.

After getting the new model, she mentioned feeling “more powerful,” with her eyes glowing brighter and general clothing functioning better. The courtyard also had eyes that Shiori said were reminiscent of her Novelite fans and a large, spooky castle and moon. Unfortunately, the nightmares and 3D form may have altered Shiori’s already fragile mental state.

Shiori’s two cats, the Nyakuza, made a 3D appearance as well. Books in the courtyard and corresponding vtuber narrators also teased the reveal of upcoming models of Koseki Bijou, Fuwamoco, and Nerissa Ravencroft.

Who is Shiori Novella?

Shiori Novella is a dorky and relatively chill Vtuber who turns her favorite stories and memories into bookmarks.

Prior to appearing in Hololive, the Archiver was locked away like the rest of Advent by the gods. They deemed her thirst for (sometimes forbidden) knowledge to be too dangerous to be in the world. However, the only thing stronger than her desire for information was her desire to create. Shiori Novella was the one who orchestrated the prison break for all four Advent future Vtubers.

As a Vtuber now, she’s known for having a cool and calm streaming space as well as getting carried away on tangents. Her quirks include eating with scissors and her hair being partly white due to the stress of too much knowledge.

Shiori calls her fans Novelites due to her bookish motif and has three tiers on her YouTube page. Though perhaps a smaller base than other popular Vtubers, Novelites show their dedication through copious amounts of fan art, video compilations, and more.
