One of the original vtubers who joined VShojo when it was first founded, Projekt Melody, has announced her graduation while the agency is embroiled in controversy.
VShojo was one of the few vtuber organizations that wasn’t showcased in a negative light or as part of many controversies to date. The agency recently saw multiple graduations in close proximity, but fans were unaware of the issues VShojo members were apparently facing. This was before one of the most popular VShojo talents, Ironmouse, unexpectedly announced her graduation while shedding light on what was happening at the agency.
Ironmouse exposed that VShojo was withholding money from its talents and had also stolen money from Ironmouse’s charity stream. This revelation led to massive drama through which multiple other vtubers came forward with their own financial troubles with the agency. Some have already announced graduation and plans to terminate their contract, and on July 22, Projekt Melody also announced her graduation from VShojo.
Projekt Melody stated that she’s graduating from VShojo because of how the agency has treated its talent and financially abused them.
Projekt Melody originally debuted as an independent vtuber but has been associated with VShojo since the agency was first founded. The vtuber did everything from recruiting talents to managerial work for the agency. She was an integral part of the agency and its operations, which is why her departure is being seen as a seismic shift in the vtuber space.

In her tweet, Projekt Meoldy specifically stated that she had put her everything into the agency and was devastated at what its talents are going through. The vtuber didn’t specify whether VShojo is withholding any of her money, but it’s possible she may share such information in the future.
Many vtubers are speaking out against VShojo, and multiple talents of the agency removed its mention from their social media accounts or outright announced their departures. Ironmouse leaving VShojo has proven to be the tip of the iceberg as Kson, K9Kuro, and Michi Mochievee have already announced their graduations or their plans of terminating their contracts. One vtuber that was silent was Projekt Melody, and many fans were wondering what the content creator would do given her deep ties to the agency. She was an original member of the agency, so fans were waiting for her reaction.
Many of the vtuber’s fans have expressed their appreciation at Projekt Melody supporting the wronged vtubers despite her level of investment in VShojo, appreciating her seemingly standing in solidarity with other vtubers who have been wronged.
