Possibly the biggest Counter-Strike rivalry of 2025 is adding a new chapter in the IEM Dallas finals, but who should you bet on: Vitality or MOUZ?
Vitality’s winning streak has been the big story of Counter-Strike in 2025 and only two teams have really threatened to break it. MOUZ is one of them. Not only that, but in their last few showdowns, MOUZ has been able to push the team to the brink.
So with Vitality looking a bit shaky after making the trip to Texas, what are the odds of that 29-match winning streak ending? Here’s what Counter-Strike betting sites have to say.
The grand final match of IEM Dallas 2025 is set to take place on May 25, 2025. MOUZ will take on Vitality, an opponent it has played on many occasions, in a best-of-five match. The winner will take home the $125,000 top prize and will win the first Intel Grand Slam Season 6 tournament, taking the first step toward a $1 million prize.
MOUZ and Vitality have both shown a bit more vulnerability than fans might’ve expected during IEM Dallas.
In MOUZ’s case, the team cut its way through the group stage with little trouble, winning three matches in six maps. That included a particularly strong showing against Team Falcons in the group stage finals. The team needed to muster up two comeback efforts to get through The MongolZ in the semifinals, though, undercutting some of the enthusiasm surrounding the team.
On the flipside, Vitality just hasn’t been playing up to its untouchable level in IEM Dallas. The team is still winning, but has had to squeak past both Team Falcons and The MongolZ to extend its winning streak. That could provide an opening for MOUZ, which has already pushed them to the brink.
Vitality took a narrow win over Team Falcons to earn this spot in the IEM Dallas finals, extending its winning streak to 29.
Everything seemed to click in Vitality with the addition of Robin “ropz” Kool in January, and this roster has been on an epic roll since:
You don’t hit 29 map wins in a row without being strong on a bunch of different maps. In 2025, Vitality is 17-1 on Inferno, 7-1 on train, 13-2 on Dust 2, and 13-3 on Nuke. Vitality is also winning at least two-thirds of its matches on Anubis and Mirage. The only map where it’s not winning regularly is Ancient, and that’s only because the team bans it.
MOUZ has won all four of its matches in IEM Dallas, a strong follow-up to its third-place finish in BLAST Rivals Spring.
MOUZ’s full 2025 roster has played in IEM Dallas, and has looked great in the process.
MOUZ has demonstrated general strength on most of the current active duty Counter-Strike 2 maps. In 2025, it has a 60% or higher winrate across Mirage, Train, Nuke, and Ancient, while still going positive on Dust 2. The team’s 7-10 record on Inferno is the big blemish on its record, and something that has held it back from success against Vitality specifically.
Vitality and MOUZ have played together many times in 2025, almost exclusively in high-stakes matches. Unfortunately for MOUZ, they make up five wins of Vitality’s 29-match winning streak.
Vitality is a decisive betting favorite in this IEM Dallas finals match. The moneylines are 1.34 against 3.17, continuing a trend between the two teams. The lines have narrowed the last few times they’ve faced off; but betting sites are still definitively favoring Vitality.
Vitality should be able to get a win against MOUZ, but it’s going to be tough. Is Vitality lacking motivation after winning the Intel Grand Slam? Is the team taking things easy before the major? Maybe, but the team should still be able to beat MOUZ.
