2025 has been the year of Team Vitality and the biggest victim of that has been MOUZ, so what are the best bets for their next matchup in BLAST Rivals Spring?
The de facto final for Counter-Strike tournaments in 2025 so far has been MOUZ vs Vitality. In theory, that makes for a hot rivalry, but that hasn’t actually been the case. Vitality has been too good to regard any team as a real rival.
There are still some interesting betting opportunities in this match, though. So where’s the best action to be found?
Team Vitality and MOUZ are set to face off for the fifth time in 2025. On May 1, 2025, the two teams will play in a best-of-three match in the BLAST Rivals Spring group stage. The winner starts in the semifinals of the playoffs, while the loser begins in the quarterfinals.
Vitality’s winning streak has continued in BLAST Rivals Spring, with the team taking a win over Wildcard in the first round of the group stage. The squad entered as the favorites to win the tournament after winning the Intel Grand Slam, and looks ready to fulfill those expectations.
The full Vitality roster is in attendance for BLAST Rivals Spring:
Vitality hasn’t lost a match since February, so it’s to be expected that the team would have an extremely strong record on each map. Its best is Inferno, where it has a 13-0 record in 2025. Its “worst” is Anubis where the team is 6-3. The team instantly bans Ancient, though.
MOUZ has looked strong throughout 2025 but the team’s efforts have been overshadowed by the rise of Team Vitality, roster tinkering of Team Falcons, various dramas, and in-game changes. Still, the team is broadly recognized as one of the four best squads in Counter-Strike today with many saying they’re in second.
The MOUZ roster remains intact here and took a convincing win over Pain Gaming that included a 13-0 shutout:
MOUZ has been strong on Ancient, Train, and Nuke while proving to be quite vulnerable on Inferno. In fact, MOUZ took a loss to Pain Gaming on Inferno in its first match of BLAST Rivals Spring. The team routinely bans Anubis, which helps Vitality to some degree.
MOUZ and Team Vitality have had a largely one-sided rivalry in 2025. The teams have faced off four times so far this year, with Vitality getting the win in all four matches. While the first three were sweeps, MOUZ pushed Vitality to a five-game grand finals in BLAST Open Spring on March 30.
Team Vitality is a big betting favorite to beat MOUZ in the group stage of BLAST Rivals Spring, with moneylines set at 1.23 vs 4.1. Bookies are showing some respect to MOUZ with those lines, but it’s clear how they’re expecting this one to go.
Vitality should be able to get the win over MOUZ in their group stage match in BLAST Rivals Spring. MOUZ is a very good team, make no mistake. The trouble is that Vitality is slightly better, and the map strength and preferences favor ZywOo and company.
