The grand finals for BLAST Open Spring 2025 are set to be a familiar one with MOUZ taking on Team Vitality, but betting on it is a bit of a challenge.
MOUZ has been off to a great start to 2025. The trouble is that Vitality is off to an even greater start. MOUZ has started to consistently take strong placements in big tournaments, but they’ve wound up being a bit player in the rise of Counter-Strike’s new top team.
These two teams are set to face off for the third time this month, but is there any way that MOUZ can flip the script?
Team Vitality and MOUZ will play in the BLAST Open Spring 2025 grand finals in a best-of-five showdown. The match is set to take place on March 30, 2025. The winner will take home the top prize of $150,000 and will earn three Frequent Flyer Tokens, which are used in a prizing system that splits $2 million among teams based on their performance in BLAST events throughout 2025. The loser receives $60,000 and one Frequent Flyer Token.
Team Vitality has been on a vicious unbeaten streak, and that has seen the team tear up the opposition in BLAST Open Spring. Vitality cruised through the group stage, sweeping Astralis, Virtus.pro, and MOUZ. This earned the team a spot in the semifinals and while it lost a map, it managed to put away Team Spirit.
The Vitality roster has been looking downright scary since adding Robin “ropz” Kool:
In 2025, Vitality is undefeated on Dust 2, Train, and Inferno. The team still has a strongly positive record on Mirage, Nuke, and Anubis, while consistently banning Ancient.
MOUZ continued its string of strong results in BLAST Open Spring with a strong showing in the group stage. While a tough loss to Vitality undid some of the confidence betting sites had in MOUZ after wins over Team Falcons and Team Spirit, MOUZ came out swinging in the playoffs with a convincing victory over G2. It then earned a spot in the finals by defeating Eternal Fire.
The MOUZ roster at BLAST Open Spring includes the following players:
MOUZ has been at its best on Ancient and Nuke, winning more than 70% of its games there thus far in 2025. On the other hand, they’ve also lost the majority of their games thus far Dust 2, Inferno, and Mirage. MOUZ has also taken to instantly banning Anubis.
Team Vitality has beaten MOUZ three times in March 2025. Since Vitality’s breakout performance in Katowice, MOUZ has had the misfortune of facing vitality in multiple high-stakes matches. Vitality’s ability to consistently beat a serious threat in torzsi and company has been a big part of the team’s run to the top.
MOUZ is a huge underdog against Vitality, with the betting lines standing at 1.24 against 4.0. MOUZ has been very good over the last several months, but bookies are showing them no respect. It’s hard to blame them, though, given how strong Vitality is and how their head-to-head matches have gone.
Team Vitality will likely take a clean win over MOUZ. MOUZ might be able to get a moral victory in the form of a map win or forcing over time. The actual victory, though, is going to Vitality.
