Vitality has wiped Astrlis out in their opening matchup in the BLAST World Finals. The French made quick work from their opposition, winning in a convincing 2-0 fashion.
What happened to Vitality? Following reports that the team would undergo drastic changes at the end of the year, the team has looked the strongest it has in over a year.
Mere days after winning IEM Winter, they dispatched Astralis in the opening game at the BLAST World Finals. The Danes were picked apart on Nuke, only scraping together four rounds, and didn't recover on Mirage. Vitality closed it out with 16-4 and 16-6.
The french will play G2 in the upper semi's, while Astralis has to fight NIP to keep their tournament dream alive.
