The 2026 VCT CN Kickoff starts on January 22, 2026, at 4:00 am EST / 10:00 am CET.
Triple Bracket Playoffs Stage
- The 12 VCT CN teams will play in a triple-bracket format. Teams will need to lose three matches to be eliminated.
- Teams that qualified for VALORANT Champions 2024 will receive a bye to Upper Bracket Round Two.
- All matches, excluding upper finals, middle finals, and lower finals, will be a best-of-three.
- The upper finals, middle finals, and lower finals will be a best-of-five series.
- The Champion of VCT CN Kickoff will receive four Championship points.
- The runner-up of VCT CN Kickoff will receive three Championship points.
- The team that finishes in 3rd place during VCT CN Kickoff will receive two Championship points, while the 4th-place team will receive one Championship point.
- The top three teams will qualify for VALORANT Masters Santiago, Chile.

- Following these performances, Edward Gaming released their coach Muggle. To strengthen the coaching staff, they signed
Yoon “Autumn” Eu-teum
and
Seol “Indigo” Do-hoon
as head and assistant coach, respectively. Autumn was the coach of T1 in the 2025 season and helped them win VCT Masters Bangkok.

Xi Lai Gaming
The second team on our list is Xi Lai Gaming.
- Xi Lai Gaming were the
champions of VCT Ascension CN in 2024,
thus securing a spot in the VCT CN League.
- During the 2025 season, they needed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2025 to confirm their spot in the VCT CN 2026 season. The team became the champions of VCT CN Stage One. Due to this victory, they secured a spot at the Hero Esports Asian Championship and VALORANT Masters Toronto.
- At the Hero Esports Asian Championship 2025, they finished in 3rd place, while at VALORANT Masters Toronto, they finished in 8th place.
- During VCT CN Stage Two, they finished in 4th place, securing their spot at VALORANT Champions 2025.
- At VALORANT Champions 2025, they failed to secure a victory and got knocked out in the group stages. This season, the core of the team and the coaching staff have stayed the same.
The goal this season for the team is to make sure they qualify for VALORANT Masters Santiago to prove that they are one of the best teams in China.
Bilibili Gaming
The third team on our list is Bilibili Gaming. Back in 2023 and 2024 they were considered as the second best team in the VCT CN region.
- During 2025, the team was a lot more consistent. They finished in 3rd place during VCT CN Kickoff 2025. At VCT CN Stage One, they finished in 2nd place, securing a spot at VALORANT Masters Toronto.
- At the Hero Esports Asian Championship they finished in 4th place. Sadly, during VALORANT Masters Toronto, they finished in 9th place.
- At VCT CN Stage Two, they became the champions of the tournament. They defeated Dragon Ranger Gaming 3-1 in the grand finals of the tournament.
- Similar to Edward Gaming and Xi Lai Gaming, Bilibili Gaming lost the first two games at VALORANT Champions 2025. Thus, they got eliminated in the group stage of the tournament, resulting in quite a disappointing end for the year for Bilibili Gaming.
- Following VALORANT Champions 2025, Bilibili Gaming signed the Tang “Muggle” Shijun. He was previous the head coach of EDward Gaming. They also signed the rookie Yang “bud” Renyu to their roaster for the 2026.
Only time will tell if the rookie bud will help the team finally help Bilibili Gaming secure a international VALORANT trophy.

Dragon Ranger Gaming.
- Dragon Ranger Gaming were the champions of
VCT Ascension CN 2023. Following that victory, the team was steady during the VCT 2024 season.
- In the
VCT CN 2025 season, the team finished 4th at the VCT CN Kickoff 2025. This was after the team lost to EDward Gaming in the lower bracket.
- During VCT CN Stage One, Dragon Ranger Gaming finished in 5th place while finishing as runners-up at VCT CN Stage Two. These finishes helped the team secure enough Championship points to secure a spot at VALORANT Champions 2025.
- At VALORANT Champions Paris, the team didn’t play their best and finished in 16th place.
- Due to this placement, they were relegated and had to play at the VCT Ascension CN 2025. Dragon Ranger Gaming needed to win the tournament to retrieve they spot in the VCT CN 2026 League.
- During VCT Ascension CN 2025, the team completed an incredible lower bracket run reaching the grand finals of the tournament. In the grand finals
they defeated Rare Atom
3-0 in a dominant clean sweep victory.
