With viewership and revenue records being broken in the first quarter of 2025, VALORANT esports continues to grow. With players from various countries getting a spotlight, it truly has become the international FPS game to watch out for. This year, we have seen the dominance of multiple teams from all four VALORANT Champions Tour regions. With the VALORANT Esports World Cup coming to a close, we decided it was time to take a look at who are truly some of the best players in VALORANT esports of 2025. But before getting to our list, we’ll start with a player who we strongly feel deserves special recognition.
Below we’ll now take a look at player performance and skill showcased during recent VALORANT events to provide you with our up-to-date list of the top five VALORANT players in 2025. It is worth noting that a single VCT team may have multiple players within this list.

The first player on our list is none other than JohanP from G2 Esports. During VALORANT Champions 2025, G2 Esports became the first team to qualify for VALORANT Champions Paris. The sole reason for this was their sheer dominance during the first half of the season. G2 Esports started their year by Winning VCT Americas Kickoff 2025. During this tournament, on agents like Breach and Vyse, he averaged around 0.51 assists per round. He continued this run of form by helping G2 Esports reach the grand finals of VALORANT Masters Bangkok.
The dominance of JonahP and G2 Esports didn’t end there, with the player helping G2 Esports win VCT Americas Stage One. Since then, the player hasn’t had the best performances. G2 Esports finished 4th during VALORANT Masters Toronto. This tournament took place in Canada, which is JonahP’s home country. As of writing this article, G2 Esports are close to securing its spot in the playoffs of VCT Americas Stage Two.

The next player on our list is one that fans would remember during the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024 season, it is RieNs from Team Heretics. Last year, the player was crucial in helping Team Heretics reach multiple Grand Finals during the season. While they didn’t win any event, they were the most consistent team that year. During 2025, we have seen a similar kind of consistency by RienNs. This year, he has been crucial in helping his team finish 3rd during VCT EMEA Kickoff 2025 and runners-up during VCT EMEA Stage One. Due to this performance, the team qualified for the first VALORANT tournament during the Esports World Cup.
Team Heretics went on to win the Esports World Cup VALORANT Tournament by defeating their fellow rivals in VCT EMEA, FNATIC. The final was a 5-match series with Team Heretics winning 3-2. As of writing this article, Team Heretics are undefeated during VCT EMEA Stage Two. One central point to note is that ReiNs is only 20 years old and is known for playing agents like Sova, Gekko, and Fade.
Below are stats of RieNs during the Esports World Cup X VALORANT tournament:

In 8th place, it is none other than the chaos creator from Paper Rex, Jinggg. Since he arrived in VALORANT Esports, Jinggg has been known for his incredible movement within the game. Using an agent like Raze, the player can maximize their earnings by utilizing the satchels from her ability kit. This year has been a tale of two halves for the player. During the first tournament of the season, Paper Rex finished 8th. They got their form back and secured a 3rd place finish during VCT Pacific Stage One. A huge reason for this 3rd place was due to Jinggg’s incredible form on an agent like Raze.
By finishing 3rd Paper, Rex secured a spot at VALORANT Masters Toronto. During the tournament, Jinggg provided a performance of a lifetime. Jinggg helped Paper Rex reach the grand finals of the tournament. In an incredible grand finals against FNATIC, Paper Rex secured their first international tournament. Following the completion of VCT Pacific Stage Two group stage, Paper Rex has become the first team from VCT Pacific to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2025.

If there were one player who was the pure definition of the Tejo Meta within VALORANT, it would be Trent from G2. Tejo was launched in VALORANT back on January 8th. Interestingly, the agent was allowed within all regional VCT Kickoff tournaments from launch. Since then, Trent started using the agent. From the first match of VCT Americas Kickoff 2025 until the Grand Final of VALORANT Masters Bangkok, we saw the player only use Tejo on all maps. Not just using the agent, he dominated every single game with him.
During VCT Americas Stage One, he only played Tejo in all games, including the grand finals. This was the first time we saw a player use just one agent within multiple tournaments on every single map within the competitive map pool. Following the nerfs to Tejo, we have witnessed trent use other initiator agents like Fade and Sova a lot more. Below are his stats from VCT Americas Stage One:

Before we delve into the top players, there is one player who deserves recognition, and it is none other than FNATIC Chronicle. 2025 has been quite a year of growth for the player. This year, he has played over seven different Valorant agents in various tournaments. He has helped FNATIC finish 2nd in both the VALORANT Masters Toronto and the VALORANT EWC Tournament. During the EWC tournament, he ended the tournament with the following stats:
Within this year itself, he has also won VCT EMEA Stage One 2025. If he continues this run of form during VCT EMEA Stage Two, one could see him becoming the MVP of VALORANT Champions 2025.

Image: T1 Meteor via X.com (@Meteorvlrt)
The first player on our list of the best players in VALORANT is none other than T1 Meteor. Back in March this year, he helped his team, T1, become the champions of VALORANT Masters Bangkok. Following an incredible final against G2 Esports, he was also declared the MVP of VALORANT Master Bangkok.
Since then, neither T1 nor Meteor has been in its best form. T1 failed to qualify for both the VALORANT Masters Toronto and the EWC tournament. With VCT Pacific Stage Two already underway, it will be interesting to see if the MVP from VALORANT Masters can get his form back and help his team secure their spot for VALORANT Champions 2025.

The next player on our list of best VALORANT players is none other than Wo0t from Team Heretics. The Turkish assassin has been in top-notch form this season. While his team couldn’t qualify for VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025, they did finish third during VCT EMEA Kickoff. They finished as runners-up during VCT EMEA Stage One, securing their spot in the VALORANT Masters Toronto and EWC.
During the EWC VALORANT tournament, he played a crucial role in helping his team become the tournament champions. They defeated their EMEA rivals in FNATIC to secure their first international VALORANT Trophy.
Below are his stats from the EWC VALORANT 2025 tournament:
It is worth noting that during the tournament, Wo0t primarily utilized agents such as Kay/0, Iso, and Fade. Thus showcasing a more aggressive and team-centric playstyle that we haven’t seen from him before 2025.

If we don’t include texture from Gen.G in our list of the best VALORANT players of 2025, it would feel like a disservice to the player. In our opinion, t3xture has been one of the most consistent players in VALORANT Esports. In 2024, he helped Gen.G become champions of the VALORANT Masters Shanghai and the first VCT Pacific team to achieve this feat. This year, Gen.G finished third during VCT Pacific Kickoff and 2nd during VCT Pacific Stage Two. By finishing second, they qualified for both EWC and VALORANT Masters Toronto.
Due to texture being one of the best players on Neon, Gen.G could finish 5th at VALORANT Masters Toronto and 3rd at EWC. Below are the t3xture’s stats from VALORANT Masters Toronto:
With VCT Pacific Stage Two underway, its texture can keep up its top-notch performance. We could see Gen G lift the VCT Pacific Stage Two trophy.

Image: FNATIC Alfajer via X.com (@Alfajervl)
Finishing just below the first place spot on our list of elite VALORANT players in 2025 is none other than Alfajer. The ACE of FNATIC has been one of the best flex players in the world. In the last three months, he has played over seven agents, including the likes of Chamber. While many have forgotten the French Sentinel following his nerf, Alfajer has been lighting up the world with this agent.
Due to his incredible agent pool, he has been crucial in helping FNATIC finish second in back-to-back international VALORANT tournaments. With such consistent form, FNATIC is close to securing its spot in the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour.
The point to note about Alfajer is that he can play as the Sentinel or the Duelist of FNATIC with ease. Below are his stats during VALORANT Masters Toronto:

Currently, the best player in VALORANT is none other than f0rsakeN from Paper Rex. Since the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour back in 2022, he has been one of the most talented players in the world. Recently, he was crucial in Paper Rex winning VALORANT Masters Toronto. This was the first international trophy that Paper Rex won. The main characteristic about him is that he is flexible with a plethora of agents. As a result, during the VALORANT Masters Toronto, he was announced as the tournament’s MVP.
During EWC 2025 he helped Paper Rex finish fourth. If there is one thing about f0rsakeN that is underrated it is that he is the foundation of the W Gaming playstyle of Paper Rex that everyone in VALORANT esports loves them for.
