Since its launch in 2021, VALORANT Esports has been rapidly growing in popularity, with major VALORANT Esports tournaments breaking new records in viewership. During 2025, VALORANT Champions Paris had a peak viewership of just over 5 million concurrent viewers, showcasing the passion of VALORANT fans in EMEA and around the world. Recently, VALORANT announced the new roadmap for VCT EMEA for the 2026 season. Let’s take a look at the new structure of the VCT EMEA League in the 2026 Season.
A few days ago, VALORANT announced the roadmap for the VCT Pacific League for the 2026 season. New teams like Full Sense and Varrel will be joining the league in the upcoming season. In a post on X, VALORANT has shared new updates about the VCT EMEA 2026 roadmap. Firstly, the Challenger leagues in the EMEA region will have a three-stage seasonal format. One of the major additions in the 2026 season is the launch of VALORANT EMEA Clash. This will be a first-of-its-kind tournament that will take place after the VCT EMEA Kickoff.
From January 5th 2026, alongside the VCT EMEA Kickoff, various VALORANT Challengers Leagues will begin. Following the completion of the VCT EMEA Kickoff 2026, the top three teams will qualify for VALORANT Masters Santiago. The remaining nine teams will qualify for the VCT EMEA Clash. The new tournament will take place from February 16 to 26.
Within this tournament, teams from the VCT EMEA League will be able to face off against some of the best teams from the regional VALORANT Challengers EMEA leagues. This is similar to what we had seen during Project Blender during the 2025 VCT off-season. The primary goal of the event is to provide exposure to the rookie talents within the various teams that will be taking part in the Tier 2 tournaments.

Following the VCT EMEA Clash, each VALORANT Challengers League within the EMEA region will take place in 3 stages. Below are the dates for each stage of the tournament:
Before Challenger EMEA 1 and 2, each regional league will host a qualifier tournament. The top 2 teams from each region and four teams from the EMEA NORTH/EAST league will qualify for each stage. Thus, a total of 14 teams are taking part in EMEA Stage 1 & 2.
For Challengers EMEA Stage 3, there are two different pathways for teams to qualify. The reason is that the best-performing teams during Stage 3 will qualify for VCT EMEA Stage 2 and stand a chance to qualify for VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026. For Challengers EMEA Stage 3, two teams from NORTH//EAST and from MENA Resilience will secure qualification. At the same time, one team from the French Revolution, DACH Evolution, Spain Rising, and Türkiye Birlik will receive qualification for the tournament.
The remaining eight slots will be given to teams based on their Challengers circuit points throughout the season. The top 3 teams from Challengers EMEA Stage 3 will secure a spot at the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Play-Ins Stage. The final spot for the Play-Ins stage will be available through the intense VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. Currently, no information about its format has been shared.

The Game Changers EMEA format will remain the same in 2025. The 2026 season will consist of a Kickoff event and three Stages with 10 teams competing in each. Alongside this, VALORANT has announced the launch of the VCT EMEA Cash Cups. Every Cash Cup will be open to all EMEA Game Changers teams. Including regional GC teams and GC EMEA teams, and will be played online.
Similar to Challengers EMEA 3, Cash Cups offer teams an opportunity to be promoted into Game Changers EMEA Stage 3 Play-Ins and potentially onto the Game Changers Championship later next year. This provides another pathway for new VALORANT Esports players to play in various tournaments next year.
It does feel like the VCT EMEA has taken the time to make the season for the tier 2 league to be as competitive as possible. Looks like as we get closer to VCT EMEA Kickoff, there will be more information shared on the upcoming VCT EMEA League.
