Valorant skins can be seriously gorgeous, which is why it’s easy to buy something without thinking too much about it. They can also cause other players to fear you if you’ve got some of the best Valorant agents fully kited out. Sometimes, you buy a skin due to impulse, then you sleep it off and realize you probably shouldn’t have spent those Valorant Points after all. So what can you do? Well, you can begin the Valorant refund process and hope that it’ll be accepted! Let’s run you through all the necessary info.
Yes, refunding skins is possible in Valorant. However, certain conditions must be met for the refund to be accepted by Riot Games.
Valorant allows refunds for unused in-game content and unused Valorant Points (VP) purchased in the last 14 days.
So, the keyword here is “unused,” but what does Riot actually mean by this word? Well, an item is considered used the moment it enters a Valorant match. This includes:
Riot Games has strictly mentioned that once you reach the loading screen with the item equipped, it immediately counts as you using the skin – even if you disconnect one second after loading in.
Once an item is used even once, you can no longer refund it.
If you want to try asking Riot for a refund on your Valorant skins, the refund process itself is pretty quick and straightforward.
Here are the steps you need to follow to issue a refund:
Go to the Riot Games Player Support website.
Submit a request under In-Game Question/Issue & In-Game Content Refund.
Fill in the form with accurate details. In the description, mention what you’re trying to refund and attach any pictures if you feel like it’s necessary.
Then, click Submit and wait for a reply from Valorant staff.
If your item is eligible for a refund, expect to receive it very shortly as Riot is typically quick with their replies!

As long as the item is unused and purchased within the last 14 days, you can refund any of these items:
Any items under this category will appear with a refund option in your purchase history. There, you can immediately tell if you can request a refund for them.
It’s important to note that there are many types of items that you cannot refund, even if you haven’t used them at all.
You cannot get refunded for the following:
Some purchases have additional rules that are worth understanding before you buy. Make sure you’ve read all of what we’re going to say below so you don’t regret any decisions.
Skin bundles themselves are not refundable. So, if you purchase a full bundle, none of the skins inside it can be refunded.
However, there is one exception:
Bundles can be pretty pricey, so remember this refund policy at all times.
If you’ve just bought Valorant Points and immediately regret your decision, we bring good news that unused Valorant Points can be refunded, but only if:
So, if you used the VP to buy anything like skins, bundles, or the Battle Pass, you can no longer refund any of the Valorant Points that you purchased for this specific set.
If you have not used the VP at all within the time window, you can receive a cash refund.
There is a lesser-known rule, and that has to do with pending gifts. If you have sent a gift that hasn’t been claimed yet, you cannot refund any other items until the gift is accepted or expires after 60 days.
As for the gift itself, the sent item cannot be manually refunded. However, if a gift goes unclaimed for 60 days, it is automatically canceled and the Valorant Points are returned to the sender.
Skins may not help you climb the Valorant ranks but they do look cool. However, consistently investing in new drip can be quite painful for the wallet. Thankfully, Riot Games allows you to request a Valorant refund and get your hard-earned cash back (if you meet the refund conditions).
