Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks slammed the VCT Game Changers players and talked about why they aren’t getting picked by big teams.
Latvian esports player ardiis is known for his time as a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. He has played for Endpoint, London Esports, and Fierce Esports. ardiis has been in the Valorant esports scene for some time and last played for Natus Vincere. The player left Navi in December 2024 and is currently a free agent. However, ardiis is once again in the limelight for multiple statements he has made on stream. These range from slamming the kickoff format to calling out Gekko for being too overpowered. Now, ardiis is in the news once again for something even more controversial.
ardiis criticized the existence of Game Changers, saying that the players simply aren’t good enough for any big organizations.
The Valorant player ardiss stated that if Game Changers players were as good as fans thought, they would be picked up by bigger organizations.
VCT Game Changers is a program by Riot Games to help create opportunities and exposure for women in Valorant esports. With Game Changers, Riot is trying to build a more inclusive and representative community.
In a stream, ardiis said that he doesn’t understand why people say that the Game Changers players are skilled at the game. The Valorant pro questioned that if the players really are so insane, why aren’t the top teams picking the Game Changers players? He further questioned why Team Liquid isn’t picking up a Game Changers player.
Ardiis stated that the big organizations don’t think the players are good enough. He claimed the reason is that simple but players still continue to allege that the players are good. The former pro alleged that everyone talks about the Game Changers players like they are too good when in reality, they are unable to compete at the top level.
For instance, ardiis claimed people would ask on forums whether fans would marry Brazilian player Julia “Jelly” Iris for $1,000,000. The player stated that he doesn’t even know who Jelly is. The former Navi player claimed that all he knows is that $1 million is $1 million. He said he doesn’t care and all he knows is that “a millie is a millie.”
