A user on X who claims to know Ava “Florescent” Eugene personally has alleged that they have information about sexual assault a potential sexual assault the Valorant pro may have committed against a young woman.
Florescent became a renowned name after she displayed her instinctive gameplay in the Game Changers Championship 2024. The Valorant pro was named as MVP in the event and her team, Shopify Rebellion, became its champion. The pro player then went on to be signed by Apeks and became the first woman to be signed by a VCT EMEA team.
Florescent surprised fans by stepping down from the VCT season and announcing that she won’t play professionally anymore. The pro player is now in the news again, and this time it’s because Florescent has been accused of sexual assault.
The X user who came out against Florescent claims that the Valorant pro sexually assaulted a young woman in early 2024.
On May 17, an X user tweeted a Google Doc containing alleged inappropriate actions of professional Valorant player Florescent. The accuser stated they knew Florescent and the two were close at one point. They went on to say Florescent is a “vile” person that the actions described matches their character.
The alleged incident occurred in January 2024 when a woman going by the name Brick went to Florescent’s house. The document states Brick knew Florescent would initiate sex as the two had discussed it prior to the encounter. Brick still went to Florescent’s house despite not wanting to have intercourse. The two had nevertheless did have intercourse which claims suggest left Brick bleeding but too embarrassed to say anything until they fell asleep.
Brick claims she was awakened when her mother called her and she subsequently woke up Florescent. The alleged victim claimed Florescent told her to not leave and asked her to instead have sex again. Brick said she didn’t consent, but Florescent got on top of her to initiate and Brick stopped fighting it eventually.
She said that she felt powerless because Florescent had locked Brick’s phone and she had no way of contacting anyone. This is why she claims that after initially trying to reject the sexual advances, she eventually let Florescent have her way.
The X user stated some information is being withheld as the alleged victim is still deciding what to make public and what should remain private.
UPDATE: Florescent has addressed the allegations, denying that an assault took place and suggesting that she is taking her time to determine the best way to “clear her name.”
