Valorant skins can be expensive, but every so often, Riot Games slashes their prices, making them more accessible to all through the game’s popular discount store, the Valorant Night Market.
While Valorant skins don’t directly affect gameplay, many players believe that the upgraded sound effects on premium skins can make the game feel that much smoother and more satisfying. The more expensive skins often come with more satisfying kill sounds, which some feel helps them chain kills more easily. That’s why players who can’t afford these skins sometimes feel at a disadvantage. To help with that, Riot introduced the Night Market in 2020.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Valorant Night Market to stock up on inventory with affordable purchases.
Valorant Night Market for V25 Act 3 begins on June 5 and will run until June 24.
In this act’s Night Market, any eligible skin can appear at random, including new additions from the Neptune and Helix bundles. If players don’t get the skin they were hoping for, they can always wait for the next rotation.
While the Night Market doesn’t follow a fixed schedule, its past release dates offer a useful pattern for players to plan their purchases:
The Night Market appears every two months, offering six mystery cards, each hiding a random skin at a discount between 10% and 49%.
The Night Market typically between 15 and 20 days. During this period, a special menu appears on the Valorant home screen, displaying six mystery cards. Clicking each card reveals a discounted skin. The selection is random for every player and is influenced by the following factors:
Exclusive and Ultra Edition skins are not included in the Night Market. However, players are guaranteed at least two Premium Edition skins, the highest tier available in the event. Knives from eligible tiers can also appear, though some may be priced above 4,350 VP and are therefore excluded from the selection.
A Night Market cannot offer more than two skins for the same type of weapon unless this condition would prevent the player from getting six offers, which is often the case for skin collectors.
While players can’t control which skins appear in the Night Market, those who spend the least amount on Valorant skins often receive better offers, resulting ni a better Night Market selection.
This is based on the fact that the Night Market never includes skins a player already owns, which often leads to complaints about poor selections. The more premium skins you have, the less exciting your offers tend to be. In contrast, players with fewer popular skins are more likely to see better deals. That’s why it’s often smarter to wait for the next Night Market instead of paying for a skin’s full price upfront.
It’s also worth noting that the Night Market doesn’t include newly-released skins from the past two acts. So if there’s a new skin you really like, it’s best to wait until the third act to have a better chance of seeing it in included in your Night Market offers.
