mobile-legends-esports-calendar

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang continues to grow, as more fans tune in every year, consistently ranking as the top esport by viewership per Escharts. If you’re betting on Mobile Legends in 2026, there’s a massive list of upcoming events that you need to know about.

During the M7 World Championship, Moonton announced the 2026 esports roadmap with a schedule packed full of tournaments. Alongside the regular MPL leagues we’ve seen in previous years, there will also be third-party events like the Asian Games and the Esports Nations Cup.

Below you’ll see a full overview of MLBB tournaments and which events you’ll be able to bet on in 2026.

January 2026

M7 World Championship 2025

  • Dates: January 3 – January 25
  • Teams: 22
  • Prize Pool: $1,000,000
  • Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

The year started off with a bang, as the M7 World Championship was played in January. This was the biggest tournament of the MLBB calendar, and the concluding event of the 2025 season, even though it was played in January 2026.

Aurora Gaming PH won the tournament in very convincing fashion. They took down hometown heroes Alter Ego 4-0 in the Grand Final, not breaking a sweat.

The end of this tournament closes the 2025 season, and is the start of a new year.

February to March 2026

No Tier 1 Events (Off-Season Window)

February and March are quiet for MLBB esports. The biggest tournament of the year has just ended, and this is usually the time where teams start making changes to their rosters for the new season.

There won’t be any Tier 1 tournaments during this period. Instead, teams will focus on preparing for the new season. This is when roster changes happen, where players will be signed, released, or trialed.

It’s a very important phase, as teams reshape their lineups which will most likely be used throughout the rest of the year.

Late March to May 2026

MPL: First Half of the Season Begins

Late March to early April is when the season truly begins. The first Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) split will begin, and there will be five global regions:

  • Southeast Asia (SEA)
  • East Asia (EA)
  • Eastern Europe & Central Asia (EECA)
  • Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)
  • Americas (AMER)

Each country will run its own MPL, such as MPL Philippines and MPL Indonesia. This is where we’ll see new rosters in action for the first time.

June 2026

MPL: First Half Playoffs

June is where things start getting spicy. All of the teams would have had months to test drive their rosters, and it will be clear to see which teams are at the top. The best-performing teams will qualify for the Playoffs, where they will try becoming champions of the region.

At the end, the top teams from each region will qualify for international tournaments, where they will play against teams from around the world in bigger events.

Early July to August 2026

Mid Season Cup: First International Event of the Season

The best teams from each MPL regional split will book tickets to the Mid Season Cup, an exciting Mobile Legends betting opportunity, which is the first international tournament of the year. You’ll see teams from all over the world competing in this tournament.

This event falls under the Esports World Cup lineup, but it is still hosted in collaboration with Moonton. Last year, the prize pool for this event was $3,000,000, so we might see a similar amount up for grabs.

MLBB Women’s Invitational

Under the same Esports World Cup umbrella, you’ll also see the MLBB Women’s Invitational, or the MWI. As the name suggests, this tournament is only for female players and teams. Last year, the tournament had a $500,000 prize pool. If you have a favorite women’s team, or just want to see more MLBB action, make sure to tune into the MWI.

Mid-August to Mid September 2026

MPL: Second Half of the Season Begins

After the Mid Season Cup ends, teams will return to their home regions and compete in their respective MPL seasons again. This will be the second split, so all standings are reset and every team starts fresh.

The stakes are higher this time. Instead of fighting for MSC spots, the teams are now competing for a chance to qualify for the biggest events at the end of the year.

Late September – Early October 2026

Asian Games 2026 (Aichi-Nagoya, Japan)

MLBB will be an official competition in the Asian Games, but it will be separate from regular MPL play. This is because this tournament will is is completely separate from the MPL franchise league and featurs national teams, meaning teams will play under their countries names instead of their organizations.

This also means some countries might assemble new teams by picking up the best players from different teams. Instead of playing against each other in an MPL split, they will represent their countries and play against others.

October – November 2026

MPL: Second Half Regular Season and Playoffs

After the Asian Games, the grind doesn’t stop, as the MPL split will continue. In this phase, teams are locking their spots in the Playoffs, and only the top teams will be invited to the international tournaments at the end of the year.

Esports Nations Cup

There will also be the Esports Nations Cup. Like the Asian Games, this is a national-team tournament, where players represent their countries instead of their clubs. Top players from each nation will compete under one flag.

December 2026

MLBB Championship Tour

To end 2026, there will be the MLBB Championship Tour (MCT). This a new tournament that will feature the strongest team from each region, and it will be the final tournament played before the M8 World Championship.

It’s still a new tournament, so Moonton has yet to confirm the full details, but we can expect a large-scale event since it’s going to be an official international tournament.

As usual, the M8 World Championship will start in the next year, in early 2027. The best teams of the entire season will qualify for the event.
