While Tyloo has won plenty of tournaments over the years, those have largely been limited to the APAC region. Worse yet, its biggest successes in those tournaments are in the fairly distant past at this point. But now boasting a respectable showing in the BLAST Austin Major and a first-place finish in Fissure Playground 1, can you really start betting on Tyloo to win?
Betting tip: Whether you’re bullish on Tyloo or bearish on Virtus.pro, one side is the clear favorite here.
My Tyloo vs Virtus.pro pick: Tyloo wins (1.72 at GG.BET)
Lynn Vision Gaming was one of the surprise standouts of the BLAST Austin Major, but it wasn’t the only Chinese team competing. Tyloo also got some wins of its own, besting the likes of Complexity, FlyQuest, and M80. Those successes were largely forgotten after it skidded out of the second group stage, but Tyloo showed enough to take note moving forward.
Those who remembered Tyloo’s successes during Fissure Playground 1 were rewarded, as the team won five straight matches to take first place in the tournament. Though the event didn’t feature the cream of Counter-Strike’s crop, Tyloo took wins over a number of respectable teams, including a 3-1 victory over a renewed Astralis in the finals.
Tyloo was a fairly significant underdog in that match, but bookmakers have backpedaled on that quickly.
Tyloo’s success in Fissure Playground 1 was owed in large part to Yang “JamYoung” Yi. Though he’s long been regarded as a legitimate talent, he hasn’t often had the numbers to back that up. In Fissues Playground 1, he went absolutely wild en route to a 1.40 rating thanks to multiple 30-kill efforts and a few more where he came quite close. The tournament wrapped with him notching 27 kills against Astralis in a 13-10 win.
He posted huge numbers throughout the tournament and the quick turnaround for this match means he’ll be coming in hot. Virtus.pro likely won’t have the tools to bottle him up.

Virtus.pro and Tyloo have very little history with each other. They played in Fissure Playground 1’s group stage and the last match between them prior to that was in 2020 at ESL Pro League Season 11 in an online match due to travel restrictions. That match was during Virtus.pro’s Kazakhstani era, so it’s not relevant to this match.
Tyloo won five straight in Fissure Playground 1, beating some top-20 opponents including Virtus.pro.
After its runs in Fissure Playground 1 and the BLAST Austin Major, VP will be entering IEM Cologne 2025 on a five-match losing streak.
