Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp celebrates a milestone moment in hardcore WoW after reaching level 60 for the first time.
As one of the biggest entertainers in the League of Legends space, many associate Tyler1 with memes more than skill. Millions of fans have saved his over-the-top reactions as reaction gifs and videos. While it’s easy to laugh at his antics, Tyler1 regularly reminds people he’s indeed one of the best gamers on Twitch.
Although Tyler1 may complain or argue with his chat, the accolades speak for themselves. Tyler1 is among the few players ever to reach Challenger on all five roles in League of Legends. He also reached 2000 Elo in Chess.com in mere months, ranking him among the 0.5% best players in the world.
In 2024, Tyler1 took his talents to hardcore WoW.
Tyler1 reached level 60 in hardcore WoW on his second-ever character. While fighting Ogres in Hordemar City, Tyler1 finally got enough XP to reach level 60. Upon reaching the milestone, Tyler1 did his iconic scream and was cheered in chat by fans and friends. Even though the cheers, some still found time to playfully tease Tyler1.
“F*** WoW, it’s the easiest f***ing game I’ve ever played,” exclaimed Tyler1 after the milestone. He also emphasized how he only lost the first character because of tilt. He then got extremely close to the camera and roasted every Onlyfangs member who still wasn’t level 60.
“I feel bad for Sodapoppin having to deal with your scrub a***s,” said Tyler1. In a surprisingly wholesome moment, Tyler1 celebrated level 60 with his wife and child. The streamer said he “couldn’t yell” while holding the baby, showing a more gentle side of the typically raging gamer.
Tyler1 has proven his skills time and again in hardcore WoW. As can be expected with a hardcore run, Tyler1 had a few bumps along the way. His first character was a Tauren Warrior, who reached level 23 before succumbing in a chaotic fight.
Although many teased Tyler1 about the loss, it’s worth mentioning that he was being spammed with invites by griefers. These distractions proved too much for the streamer, resulting in the sudden death. Not one to let death stand in the way of progress, Tyler1 immediately rolled a second character, and this time he did much better.
The determined streamer beat a level 40 Elite Cyclonian despite being vastly underleveled. The notorious enemy was considered a gatekeeper into the higher echelons of WoW. Players needed to understand the fundamentals of kiting, spacing, and skill usage to beat the Elite Cyclonian early.
Tyler1 beat the infamous enemy in under 15 minutes. Of course, through all this, Tyler1 had plenty of help from guild members and fans. Many gave him free items and healed him when he got too reckless. While some feel this made his achievements less impressive, others pointed out that WoW is ultimately a social game.
If Tyler1 won with the help of friends, then that’s just how WoW was meant to be played.
