Usually known for grinding high-level League of Legends, Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp excited his community with an Elden Ring marathon announcement. The same fans became outraged when the streamer avoided doing it.
Last week, Tyler1 revealed an Elden Ring streaming marathon where he planned to complete the entire game in one stream. He noted that this means he will do one continuous stream until he beats the game, even sleeping on stream. Tyler1 planned to beat the game in four days, which had some fans skeptical.
Well, seems like Tyler1 hasn’t beaten it after all. In fact, he hasn’t even played a single minute.
;When Tyler1 initially announced his Elden Ring streaming marathon, he admitted his schedule was tight. He planned to start the game on Monday but warned fans that he “might not 100% be able to be here Monday.” He then noted that if he didn’t start Monday, he’d be “100%” available to start Tuesday.” The LCS Finals studio tour and co-stream would be Friday, meaning he only had Monday through Thursday to beat the game.
Monday rolled around, no stream. Tuesday morning, no stream. Tyler1 fans started asking the streamer if he was still planning to do the Elden Ring marathon despite being so busy.
As chat continued to ask about the marathon stream, Tyler1 attempted to censor the chat by putting it on sub mode, but this revealed that 20,000 people had subbed to his channel to watch him play.
“It is what it is,” the embarrassed streamer said. “I don’t know what to tell, ya. I don’t know what to say. Oh well, let’s just move forward.”
Tyler1 then continued to grind League of Legends, not seeming to really care that he’d broken his promise to not only stream Elden Ring, but beat it in four days. This had unfortunately been a highly anticipated stream, with many gamers excited for the variety and taking bets on if he’d actually beat it within the four days.
There’s been no word if Tyler1 will reschedule the Elden Rings streaming marathon or even take the “punishment” he previously promised he’d do if it wasn’t beaten, including playing the DLC as well.
