After a hard-fought battle, T1 did what they always do. They defied the odds, and like every single time, reached the semifinals of the LoL World Championship. Now, they face Top Esports to claim the second spot in the LoL Worlds Finals.

T1 is coming into the semifinals off the back of one of the best series of all time. This team always reaches the semifinals at every Worlds they attend, and this showed why. The T1 that we saw at the quarterfinals match against AL was on a completely different level from the team we’ve seen during the LCK playoffs. Nevermind the rest of Worlds.
Everyone on the team leveled up, and showed up to the level of this team’s reputation against AL. As a reminder, T1 is supposed to be hindered by series going the distance, due to issues with their champion pools. Yet against AL, they won game 4 with Guma pulling off brilliant plays on Kai’sa, one of his less comfortable champions.
As for game 5, they arguably had a less stable comp than that of AL. But they made up for it by simply playing better – and better than a team that wasn’t doing poorly by any means.
The T1 of the Swiss stage has subbed out, and the T1 we get at every Worlds has replaced it. This T1 is looking straight at finals and does not see obstacles on their path. It has a 12-0 scoreline in Best of 5s against LPL teams, and will make it 13 tomorrow.

TES has a strong regional display and an even stronger form during the first two games of Worlds. Then, their three Best of 3s were terrible. Now, they’ve won against G2 looking quite alright. But the problem is that it proves nothing. It’s much easier to hold down the fort when the opponent doesn’t put nearly as much pressure.
As it stands, there’s no doubt that TES is the worst out of the four semifinalists. In fact, of them, T1 is the only team that hasn’t crushed them 2-0 at the 2025 Worlds.
So far.
For this semifinals as well, I’ll start by playing devil’s advocate and seeing what can make TES’s chances.
The T1 that we saw in the quarterfinals against AL was far away from peak T1. But they regained more than enough strength to face TES, and particularly this TES.
Against AL, they were able to get a strong lead in all 5 games by either snowballing or coming back thanks to objectives. They handle them better, their execution of dragon dances and Atakhan fights are very solid.
TES has been worse than AL on these fronts, and AL still got outclassed. AL also won their two games by reclaiming the leads that T1 got, but TES isn’t the kind of team to succeed at doing that, not against a Korean team of all things. All of that is without mentioning JackeyLove’s own contractual obligation to hand over a couple of kills here and there every game.
Against G2, TES was fighting against themselves. If they showed up in their good shape, they would win, and if it was the bad form instead, they would lose. They’re gonna face the same question against T1. Except that against T1, their good version is still unlikely to win.
T1 is now looking at a grand final with KT, and TES will not get in the way.
| Market | Odds |
|---|---|
| T1 to win | 1.3 |
| TES to win | 3.3 |
| Over 3.5 maps | 2.79 |
| Under 3.5 maps | 1.39 |
T1 wins, simple as that. There isn’t more discussion to be had. The LPL won’t interrupt the all-Korean finals, and TES will not get in the way of T1 denying KT Rolster the Summoner’s Cup. My predictions for this match:
