Tomb Raider was the most-viewed trailer from The Game Awards 2025

Tomb Raider

The Game Awards 2025 was a grand spectacle of game reveals and gaming celebrations, but with almost a week removed from the event, we’re getting a better picture of what players are actually excited for.

And topping the scale with almost 7 million views is the Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantic trailer. A retelling of some of the classic Lara Croft games, this new Tomb Raider game from Amazon Studios is getting fans excited. But what else were fans pining for after the –

Tomb Raider trailer is the most-viewed Game Awards 2025 video

According to gaming news aggregator Kami (Okami13_ on X), the top 10 most viewed trailers from The Game Awards are as follows:

  1. Tomb Raider (6.6M)
  2. Phantom Blade Zero (6.3M)
  3. Marvel Rivals – Deadpool Reveal (4.3M)
  4. Resident Evil Requiem (3.4M)
  5. Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic (3M)
  6. Street Fighter Movie (3M)
  7. Lord of the Fallen II (3M)
  8. Total War: Warhammer 40,000 (2.5M)
  9. Divinity (2.3M)
  10. CONTROL Resonant (1.6M)

These are based on combined views from multiple uploads (for example, official channels, The Game Awards, IGN, etc.). These numbers were accurate as of Dec. 15.

While, obviously, the Street Fighter Movie isn’t a game, the rest reveal some significant titles that fans are excited for.

Phantom Blade Zero is an upcoming action game that’s been dubbed a Wuxia souls-like. The game is set for worldwide release on Sep. 9, 2026. With over 6 million views across YouTube, the game is the most anticipated title from a new franchise.

Marvel Rivals is the most-viewed DLC, with its Deadpool Reveal, breaking records and the fourth wall, as Marvel’s comedic anti-hero joins the shooter.

Divinity

If we had to pick a favorite, though, we’d certainly be drawn to Divinity’s controversial trailer. Filled with blood, guts, and satanic imagery, the Divinity trailer attracted the kind of complaints that were usually reserved for the likes of Mortal Kombat and Doom back in the 90s.

But with Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Star Wars, and Total War all topping these charts, the big pattern we’re noticing is that gamers still love returning franchises. Tomb Raider fans will especially be hoping for something positive. Lara Croft’s last outing was in 2018, and Tomb Raider aficionados have been begging for more since then. A return to the classic Tomb Raider formula could be just what they’re asking for.
