The second day of The International 2022 (TI11) Main Event started with a faceoff between two European behemoths: OG vs Tundra Esports in the upper bracket.
The European team to emerge victorious in the faceoff was none other than Tundra as they froze OG over in a sublime 2-0 whitewash.
The first game was a one-sided affair for Tundra as they demolished OG and denied them any chance of a comeback.
Tundra opted for a draft that relied on being overtly aggressive and continue to build momentum and apply pressure.
That is exactly what Tundra Esports did.
They were creating pressure throughout the game on all lanes and OG was unable to find a proper answer. In the end, the inevitable happened, and OG had to call it quits.
The second game was much better than game one, at least for OG, in regard to performance. They played far better as compared to the previous game but the outcome was the same.
Tundra Esports decisively defeated OG despite the latter being ahead in regard to gold and XP at one point in time.
Wu “Sneyking” Jingjun and company ensured to co-ordinate and not let go of the momentum and the consistency they have been building throughout the group stage at TI11.
Tundra Esports have thus secured a top-six finish at TI11, their best ever, that too on their TI debut. Meanwhile, OG will drop down to the lower bracket and secure themselves a second chance at redemption.
However, the road is long and hard for OG as all teams currently in the lower bracket are equally exemplary as the Europeans.
