The International 10 is only a couple of months away, and with the crown jewel Dota event looming large in the minds of many, it’s only natural for teams across the globe to start with their preparations in order to cash in on the massive chunk of a $40+ million prize pot.
Few teams have secured a guaranteed spot at TI10, few are on the brink of securing one, while the rest will need to engage in an intense war at the upcoming WePlay AniMajor, in a bid to secure the remaining spots and avoid going through the qualifiers.
Simply put, we have a massive bloodbath on our hands at the upcoming Major! Let’s go through a point simulation table which’ll make things easier to understand.

As evident in the image above, four teams are 100% locked for The International 10, namely, Evil Geniuses, Virtus Pro, Invictus Gaming and Team Secret.
Alliance, Quincy Crew, Beastcoast, PSG.LGD and Team Aster, more or less have secured their berths at TI10 with an extremely high probability going beyond 99.6%.
Each team will be a participant at the WePlay Major and a Top 8 finish will lock them for TI10.
Thunder Predator, T1, and OB Neon are following closely on the heels of the pack above. While T1 needs to get a Top 8 finish to secure their spot, TP and Neon are relatively in the safe zone as mentioned in the “other notes” column.
However, the real problem now arises. The bottom 8 teams are in a fix as they need to perform beyond expectations and place within the stipulated ambit in the graph above with the exception of Execration who will need to compulsorily go through the qualifiers, even if they win the Major.
