TI10 Main Event Day 3 Round-up: Secret guaranteed Top 3 finish, their highest ever at TI

TI10 Main Event Day 3 saw a lot of emotions dwell up within for few teams made progress while few exited the event. Here’s a quick recap.

Upper Bracket


Team Secret: Secret convincingly demolished Invictus Gaming with their outmaneuvering plays and skillful draft execution, thus securing them a Top 3 finish – their highest ever at The International. They face PSG.LGD in the upper bracket finals next.

PSG.LGD: The Chinese behemoth made quick work of the CIS bears, Virtus Pro, in successive games and solidified themselves as one of the heavy favourites to win TI10. They face Team Secret in the upper bracket finals next.


Invictus Gaming: IG were caught with their pants down, completely clueless, in their series loss against Team Secret. They are knocked down to the lower bracket, giving them one more shot at survival.

Virtus Pro: The CIS squad were dismantled in their series against PSG.LGD and got a real wake-up call as they make their way to the lower bracket, patiently awaiting their next opponent.

Lower Bracket


T1: The last SEA hopefuls overwhelmed Alliance in straight games to advance to the next round.

Vici Gaming: The Chinese giants, after being knocked to the lower bracket by Virtus Pro, recovered from a devastating loss in game 1 against EG to eventually win consecutive games and win the series.


Alliance: The European DPC king once again failed to replicate their splendid online performance at LAN and suffered defeat at the hands of T1, thus making an exit out of TI10.

Evil Geniuses: One of the tournament favourites and the last NA hopefuls, EG, suffered a heartbreaking loss to Vici Gaming in the eliminator in a thrilling three games series and in process getting eliminated from TI10.
