Sunset is arguably the most suitable map for Cypher mains to set up traps to eliminate enemies, and fans want to know the best setups they can use.
Sunset is one of the most straightforward and traditional maps in Valorant with few major hiding spots. While this may be good for attackers, defenders can find themselves stumped when the attacking team knows to pre-fire every common spot. Fortunately, this map also happens to be ideal for Cypher mains thanks to the agent’s sneaky traps. However, while Cypher can turn the tides of battle with his traps, just throwing them around won’t do the trick.
Fortunately, the Valorant fanbase has narrowed down some of the best Cypher setups to make attackers feel like puppets in Sunset.
Cypher’s stealthy traps can be ideal for catching unsuspecting enemies by surprise, and these three Sunset setups will make the process easier.
For this setup, players need to place tripwires on A elbow and A main, then place a cage above the green box on default. The cam can be placed as per the point of focus that players feel is optimal.
This setup works with almost any defender setup, as it can control both A elbow and A main while locking down the site.
This setup requires players to place tripwires on both the left and right sides of B site. Cages must be placed on B main and stairs, and the cam on the top wall in the back of site.
With both the left and right sides of the site covered, players can use this setup to easily pick off any enemies that step out of line.
To use this setup, Cypher players need to stand on top mid to throw their cages towards mid tiles and bottom mid as soon as Sunset’s barriers drop. The cam can be placed near the window next to top mid.
This setup is aggressive, but if done correctly, it can cover choke points allowing players to attack and demolish enemies while locking down mid.
