Marvel Rivals to release limited-time Formula R skins for Squirrel Girl and Thor

There are now over 140 Marvel Rivals skins for players to unlock. Today, the game has announced two new, time-limited skins that will become available in the shop tomorrow (Oct. 16). Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming skins: Thor Lightning Fast & Squirrel Girl Turbo Tailwind, both Formula R-themed skins.

Squirrel Girl Turbo Tailwind skin release date and cost

Recently, Marvel Rivals announced the launch of a new Marvel Rivals season. The update went live worldwide on October 10th. In the Season 4.5 update, the new hero Daredevil will be available in-game from launch. With this update, we saw quite a few changes to various team-up abilities in the game.

On October 16th, two new skins will be released in the shop of Marvel Rivals. One of these skins is the Squirrel Girl Turbo Tailwind skin. This skin has showcased the hero with the personality of a car racer. The theme of the skin is that of Formula R, the Formula 1 variant of Marvel Rivals. In this skin, Squirrel Girl rocks a sports cap and an attire with the theme of racers. The attire has a blue, black, and white colorway. The skin will cost 2,200 units and will be in the Legendary rarity class of skins. Below is everything that will be included in the skin bundle:

Thor Lightning Fast skin release date and cost

The other skin to be released in the Formula R set is the Thor: Lightning Fast Skin. This skin will showcase Thor in an attire similar to that of a Formula 1 driver. Identical to the Squirrel Girl skin, this skin features a blue and white colorway with Thor wearing his jacket around his waist. He will also be wearing goggles, commonly used by racers, to prevent dust from entering his eyes.

The skin will also cost 2,200 units and share the same class – Legendary. Below is everything that will be included in the skin bundle:

Community reaction to limited-time release

Interestingly, both the Thor and Squirrel Girl skins will be available only for a limited time in Marvel Rivals. The skins will be available in the store from October 16th to November 13th. This has resulted in some fans in the community expressing dissatisfaction with this trend.
