With so many iconic characters in Apex Legends, developer Respawn went all out for its voice actors.
Apex Legends Season 21 features 24 playable Legends, and its cast of voice actors is more diverse than ever across nationality, gender identity, ethnicity, and more. Many actors are also recognizable from other media. So far, fans seem enthusiastic about the casting choices that continue to expand as the game grows.
So who are the voice actors behind the iconic names and faces of Apex Legends? From Crystal Yu as Alter to Chantel VanSenten as Wraith, here’s the full cast of voices as of Season 21.
Though she may not have void powers in real life, Crystal Yu has gained attention for her voice roles in Diablo IV and BBC Radio 4’s Tiger Girls.
Anna Campbell has now played two characters named Ash, with the other one featured in Titanfall 2. Her character in God of War: Ragnarok was, sadly, not another Ash.
The strategic Legend is voiced by Erika Luttrell, a veteran of Call of Duty: Black Ops (Jada Powers) and Marvel’s Avengers (game Shuri).
Robin Atkin Downes exploded onto the scene with a voice role in the 2002 game X-Men: Next Dimension, but he’s better known for voicing Dormammu in Marvel: What If… or any of his other 361 roles.
Allegra Clark’s influence on voice acting isn’t mysterious. She’s well known for her roles as Beidou in Genshin Impact and Josephine in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
As the voice of one of the newest Legends, Meli Grant can also be found in several on-air anime, including Fairy Tail and Goblin Slayer.
J.B. Blanc, featured on the television shows Breaking Bad and Arcane, knows mad scientists well.
Crypto’s voice actor Johnny Young gained experience before Apex Legends as Min-Gi Park in the animated series Infinity Train.
Given his previous casting as Tyr in God of War: Ragnarok as well as General Hux and Darth Maul in Star Wars Resistance, Ben Prendergast is no stranger to voicing violent characters.
Branscombe Richmond has been acting since 1976 with notable inclusions in Disney’s Moana and Walker: Texas Ranger.
With several roles each in Doom: Eternal and Hogwarts Legacy in addition to her other projects, Elle Newlands sounds like she could also benefit from a time machine.
Mela Lee is a fan favorite for her iconic lines as Lifeline. Her other major voice acting roles outside of Apex Legends include Jade in Mortal Kombat II and several characters in Miraculous Ladybug.
Given that Loba is a collectible character, it makes sense that Fryda Wolff has also voiced The Collector in the animated show The Owl House. Her adorable characters in Trolls: The Beat Goes On! might be unrelated.
A relative newcomer to voice acting, Nicole Kawana uses her best Rebel Warlord voice that she may have practiced in her role as Judge Judy in New Zealand series Find Me a Maori Bride.
Anyone familiar with Assassin’s Creed will recognize Roger Craig Smith as Ezio Auditore Da Firenze. Others may know him as Chris Redfield in Resident Evil.
Gabe Kunda has no skeletons in his closet – only features in Diablo IV, Valorant, Hi-Fi Rush, and several other games and anime series.
Nicholas Roye knows how to keep the energy up with prominent roles in Halo: Infinite along with Spidey and His Amazing Friends.
No stranger to voicing robots, Christ Edgerly was featured as the InfoMat in the 2014 movie Passengers. He’s also able to voice non-artificial characters like several different roles in Rick and Morty.
Anjali Bhimani can be heard as Symmetra in Overwatch and Overwatch 2 or seen in Marvel’s Ms. Marvel – though neither character sports a massive gun.
Darin DePaul is in high demand, with featured roles including Sin in Shazam!, Reinhardt in Overwatch 2, and even several off-Broadway castings.
An icon in his own right, Ike Amadi has a large presence in the superhero video game world in games such as Spiderman 2 and the Justice League series.
Erika Ishii may not be a sharpshooter herself, but their prior casting in Destiny 2 and Deathloop might have one thinking otherwise.
As Vantage is a relative newcomer of a character, it’s only fitting that she was a breakout role for Natalie Canzinares, who can now also be seen in several TV miniseries.
Justine Huxley brings an electric energy to Wattson that also appears in Sword Art Online, Red Dead Redemption 2, and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
Shantel VanSanten shows her mettle to play Wraith through other roles in darker media such as Lori in The Final Destination and Becca Butcher in The Boys.
Players and fans of Apex Legends are sure to enjoy Season 21 with an all-star cast like this. There will be approximately three months until the next season starts with its own new and exciting content.
