Popular Japanese vtuber Kohaku Nene was involved in a serious accident and will take an indefinite break from streaming to recover.
Kohaku Nene is a famous vtuber who posts primarily on YouTube. She streams ASMR videos of ear-cleaning marathons and has been in the vtuber scene since 2020, amassing over 30,000,000 views on her content. However, the ASMR streamer has been having some bad luck in her real life, as she has been involved in an accident that will keep her away from streaming.
She broke the news to her fans by making a post on her X account, and fans wonder how long she’ll be absent from streaming.
Vtuber Kohaku Nene was ran over by a car and has taken a break from streaming due to medical issues.
Kohaku Nene took to her second X account to tell the exact details of her car accident through an image from notes. She explained that she was going to the supermarket, but to enter, she had to go through the parking lot. An “old man” was leaving the supermarket at the same time and his vehicle collided with the streamer while driving towards the exit.
The man exited the vehicle and told the vtuber to move out before getting in again to drive away. However, the driver ended up hitting the content creator again. Nene alleges that the man claimed he mistook the accelerator for reverse and didn’t intend to hit the ASMR streamer.
The police and ambulance were called and Kohaku Nene confirmed that her injuries were kept to a minimum thanks to the car’s slow speed. However, she is currently hospitalized and in extreme pain, which is a given since she was hit by a vehicle not once, but twice. Kohaku Nene’s statements confirmed that she will take an understandable break from streaming and content creation, but just how long will she be away?
It’s unknown when Kohaku Nene will return to streaming, as she will likely need time to recover after her surgery.
The vtuber Kohaku Nene confirmed on X that she is hospitalized and will require surgery, but doesn’t have the exact details yet. She further assured fans that she would update them as soon as she gets more information.
It is unsure when Kohaku Nene will return from her streaming break, but fans should have a tentative timeframe soon. As the content she creates doesn’t require much physical stress, she could theoretically return to streaming upon getting discharged from the hospital. However, she may also require more rest and step away from streaming for some time.
