The most popular Fortnite skins out of over 1900 choices are in, and it represents the very top of the mountain for cosmetics.
Fortnite outfits, or skins as fans refer to them more frequently as, are purchasable cosmetics that allow players to customize their characters. Fortnite-replay.info has collected information on over 300 million character uses since the game was released in 2017, along with other stats. With skins from Aphrodite to Zuko, players have almost thousands of options to fit their style. Still, some outfits have been seen more often than others.
What skins make up the highest percentages of the total character skins seen in Fortnite?
“Are you real, or just a reflection?”
The amount of Echo skins out there is smaller than the most popular Fortnite skin by almost an order of magnitude, but 4.7 million uses is nothing to scoff at. She originally came out in 2020 as part of the Twin set with herself and additional cosmetics. Even though she was last seen in the Fortnite shop nine months ago, Echo still takes a place in the top ten.
“Patience and focus wins the match.”
Par Patroller is a golf girl through and through, and she’s a popular one at that. Her skin has been spotted almost 5 million times since 2020 across different maps. Most recently, players could get her in the shop for 800 vbucks.
“Unforgettable and inescapable.”
There are few things more popular than a hot woman with an eye patch, and Siren proves that. A 2020 skin release with 5.6 million plays, she comes in default, noir, and society streetwear. She usually comes into the shop in short bursts, so collecting Siren is really just luck of the draw.
“Follow the true star.”
The first of the Boundless collection on this list, Polarity is a legendary hero who has been seen 7.5 million times since her release in 2020. Players can choose the intrepid or victorious styles, spandex or metallic suits, and any colors they’d like for the low price of 1,800 vbucks. Whenever she comes back to the Fortnite shop, of course.
“The extraordinary is in what we do, not who we are.”
Lara Croft is the only one of the most popular Fortnite skins that comes from an official IP. Though only available as part of the Chapter 2 Season 6 battle pass, this gaming legend has still been seen 8.8 million times. This includes her regular, classic, 25th anniversary, and gold anniversary Fortnite skins. Plus her sick bow, of course.
“Champion of the solar winds.”
Joltara falls in the middle of the trio of Boundless superheroes on this list, but her rare array of skins and styles is just as flashy and customizable as the rest. Plus, at 9.7 million uses, Backlash doesn’t have too much of a leg up on her. And who doesn’t love a solar-powered queen?
“Visualize the future.”
Technically tied for third with 10.6 million uses, Focus tends to go months without appearing in the Fortnite shop. Without future sight to know when the rare skin will be back, players will have to keep on guessing.
“Strike back.”
The Legendary Backlash has seven different hero styles, three hairstyles, two face masks, and an eye mask. Truly, his skin allows for a lot of customization even as he’s one of the most popular Fortnite skins. Part of the Boundless set with Joltara and Polarity, Backlash was last seen in the shop in early July for 1,800 vbucks.
“Curse the beach with your dark presence.”
Surf Witch holds tightly to her second-place position in a top ten Fortnite skin ranking, falling less than 200,000 uses short of being the most popular. Hailing from Season 13, she’s double rare as both a rare skin and a rare appearance in the shop.
“Get the goods in style.”
Coming in as the most popular Fortnite skin, Aura has been used over 11.6 million times since the game’s debut. She was originally a treasure-hunting NPC in Season 4 who was then introduced as a cosmetic during Season 8 in 2019. An uncommon skin, players can purchase the Aura skin for 800 vbucks whenever they next arrive in the Fortnite shop.
Unless, of course, they would like to stand out a little more from the crowd.
