100 Thieves has done a lot recently.
Following the departure of IGL nitr0 to Team Liquid’s Counter-Strike team, 100 Thieves have been in-between a rock and a hard place. So, the team decided to make some big signings to hopefully make a splash.
The NA organization signed IGL ec1s and BabyJ – two top players at their respective roles. In the team’s first big event – VCT Stage 1 Challengers, the team failed to deliver. 100 Thieves lost their first two matches.
To qualify for Masters, the team would have to win their next three matches, and instead, the team benched ec1s and BabyJ in what may go down as the fastest addition and removal from a team.
That performance was absolutely unacceptable from us. Not much else to say, just can’t happen. Period.

Now, 100 Thieves has made another big splash. The team signed caster/analysts DDK and mastermind Sean Gares as the new GM and Head Coach, respectively. Arguably, the support staff behind the roster is one of the best in all of VALORANT.
If the team still can’t deliver, there’s not much else 100 Thieves can do except removing Hiko and rebuild around Asuna and Ethan. The team may even go down as one of the most failed Valorant teams with all of the failed potential they had.
100 Thieves will have to wait for the Master 2 cycle to prove themselves with their new roster. Keep an eye on the roster to see if they can finally get it right this time.
