The release date for Crownfall Act 2 is finally here for Dota 2

Dota 2 players who’ve finished the first act will be delighted to know the Crownfall Act 2 release date, and it’s arriving soon.

Crownfall is an interactive adventure event running in Dota 2 right now. It started with the release of a comic and bloomed into an in-game event, offering rewards to players just for playing the game. It’s a great way to expand on Dota lore and invest gamers in the ongoing story while giving free rewards to those who log in for a few matches. 

The first act, The Markets of Midgate, is already out, and many players have fully completed it. Although the 53rd reward, the infamous candle token, remains unobtainable for all. Thankfully, with the Crownfall Act 2 release date arriving soon, players will probably have access to that reward. 

When is the Crownfall Act 2 release date?

Crownfall Act 2 is coming next week, and there’s a high chance the release date will be Thursday, May 23, 2024. 

The first act of Crownfall, The Markets of Midgate, also came out on a Thursday. Players will also likely obtain more treasures, candy sacks, arcanas, and Crownfall coins in the second act. The first act bought two kinds of Treasures adding 24 new item sets. Some of the rewards can be unlocked simply by playing the game. 

The Candy Sacks let players upgrade the Candyworks Caravan on the map and exchange candy for rewards. The rewards include hero sets, wards, couriers, and more. The Crownfall coins, however, offer discounts in exchange. Overall, Crownfall is a hit with Dota 2 players, and many are looking forward to the release date of Act 2. 

What will be in Crownfall Part 2?

Crownfall Act 2 will bring new sidequests, a new Immortal, and new visual novel sections to expand the story and provide more unlockable rewards. 

The second act will continue the story of Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage. Releasing a new act doesn’t mean players will be completely cut off from the first act though. Players can still play and obtain rewards from the first act, letting them enjoy the event on their own terms. Exploring every possible path on the pixel map is the key to discovering all of the secrets and rewards on offer. 

While all the rewards in the main story are accessible to the players, Valve is selling a $14.99 Midgate Pathfinder Pack to obtain extra rewards and stories. Players can also use Crownfall Coins to purchase the pack at a discount. It remains to be seen whether a new pack, probably themed after The Deserts of Druud, will be released. Players will have to wait for the release date of Crownfall Act 2 to know for sure.
