Imane “Pokimane” Anys and FaZe Kaysan drama may have started as playful banter, but it escalated into drama, sparking a backlash against Pokimane for “leaking” private messages. Here’s what went down between the two streamers.
Pokimane has voiced her opinion on gambling on multiple occasions, and it has resulted in several one-sided beefs. During her December 12 stream, Pokimane casually discussed speculations about the supposed tension between her and FaZe Kaysan. When the audience pointed out that it may be due to Pokimane’s gambling stance, the streamer decided to DM Kaysan to clear the air.
However, the conversation quickly took a wild turn when Kaysan seemingly asked her out on X DMs.
Pokimane showed DMs on X that seemingly show Kaysan asking her out on a date after he was previously antagonistic toward her.
Pokimane messaged Kaysan during a livestream and he instantly responded, apologizing for “misjudging her in the past.” The musician then went ahead and asked her to dinner. Pokimane started suggesting a group dinner with all FaZe members. But before she could send the message, Kaysan rejected the idea, possibly because he was watching her stream and saw her type it.
Both streamers laughed off the incident, with Kaysan claiming he was just “being friendly” and even jokingly comparing the situation to when he was previously friend-zoned by Madison Beer. Fans, however, did not take it as lightly, accusing Pokimane of leaking DMs in an attempt to embarrass Kaysan.
The Twitch streamer pushed back against this notion. She stated that she and Kaysan were both streaming their DMs, which is how the conversation was supposedly “leaked.”
“It’s genuinely disheartening how often misinformation is spread just to paint me as the bad guy. I did not leak Kaysan’s DMs, we were both streaming the DMs, that’s how he responded to me before i even hit send.” Pokimane said.
During the stream, Pokimane decided to hide the rest of the conversation, but those two DMs were enough to stir drama, with Félix “xQc” Lengyel even calling it harassment on Kaysan’s part. However, xQc is now facing backlash himself, with critics accusing him of using the situation as an example of what the internet is now calling a “polite way” to approach a woman.
Regardless of what xQc or fans happen to think, any beef between Kaysan and Pokimane seems to be squashed.
The Twitch drama involving Pokimane and FaZe Kaysan shocked fans, but it pales in comparison to the horrifying abuse story from vtuber Froot.
