Could we see the record for the most expensive AK-47 skin in CSGO be broken? One of the founders of skin trading website Skinbid.com has put the highest float pattern 661 Stattrack AK-47 | Case Hardened with four Katowice 2014 Titan Holo stickers up for sale.
Asking price for the skin? It’s extremely high.
The price of the AK Case Hardened 661 skin was set at an astronomical $400,000. It may be difficult to believe, but it’s absolutely true. That’s the amount that was paid to acquire this extremely rare and extremely expensive skin. And for someone, it was totally worth the cost.
Luksusbums, skin collector and co-founder of Skinbid, bought the coveted skin in early 2021, in a trade worth around $150,000. At the time, this was the highest amount paid for a skin. The record has since been broken, but if Luksusbums receives an actual offer for his skin, it will become the most expensive AK skin in CSGO.
The AK-47 | Case Hardened is an infamous skin. Known as the ‘Scar Pattern,’ it is one of the rarest and most coveted skins in CSGO.
The skin thanks its nickname to the golden line near the chamber, breaking the blue top of the rifle. This line resembles a scar. Thus, the patter is called the scar pattern.
The skin became famous as Youtuber and streamer Anomaly managed to trade up for one and subsequently sold it to an “Arabian Prince” for $30,000.
The most expensive Case Hardened AK remains Pattern 661 for the AK-47, and nothing else has come close to it. In fact, it’s likely the most expensive skin in all of CSGO and CS2.
The famous Dragon Lore Souvenir skin for the AWP likely comes closest, but even it doesn’t register at half the price of the most expensive Case Hardened AK. The priciest AWP skin is likely to check in at around $150,000, a full $250,000 less than the total expense of the Pattern 661 Case Hardened AK.
For most people, skins this expensive are a mere dream. But for a few big buyers, this is the reality of owning the rarest and most sought-after skins in CSGO and CS2. It’s an expensive market, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
