Which champions are getting new prestige skins before the end of 2024 in League of Legends?
Introduced originally with 2018’s K/DA Kai’Sa skin, prestige skins are advanced versions of already debuted skins. Riot usually releases 10 to 15 a year and already announced prestige High Noon Evelynn and other champions for 2024. However, new word from League UK says that there are even more prestige skins on the horizon.
Here are all the newly announced LoL champions who will get prestige skins before 2024 is out.
With only a few months left in 2024, Caitlyn, Zeri, and two other champions will receive coveted Prestige skins.
According to the League UK X account, Riot will be releasing prestige skins for four new champions by the end of 2024. These champions are the following.
Neither Caitlyn nor Diana are new to prestige skins. Caitlyn received a prestige Arcade skin in 2019 and a revamp in 2022 while Diana became a prestige Battle Queen back in 2020. This will be Swain’s first prestige skin in the almost fifteen years since his League debut, while Zeri only had to wait a few years since she arrived in 2022.
With over 160 League champions and around 50 prestige skins total, developers have certain guidelines for who is chosen.
In a post from 2020, Riot explained why some champions get prestige skins while others don’t. The main considerations include the following.
So while Caitlyn and Diana already have prestige skins, they could have other outfits that fit the usual pink and gold aesthetic or could be part of a soon-to-be-announced event. Fans will have to wait and see what the rest of 2024 holds.
Prestige skins usually come out either in the mythic shop or as part of special events. Given that the mythic shop rotation is published through patch 14.20, that only leaves two months for the four new prestige skins to come out during 2024.
