Sage’s wall is one of Valorant’s most dangerous crowd-control abilities, but players have discovered the fastest way to break it down.
Almost all Valorant agents have easy counters to their deadly abilities, but Sage seems to be an exception. Once she lays down her wall during a pistol round, players are as good as dead. The barrier stays up for 40 seconds and has a collective health of 800. This is too much to destroy for a measly pistol like the Ghost or Classic. Players need about 25 Classic bullets to destroy a Sage wall. That means more than two magazines, so by the time the wall is gone, players are facing the enemy with an empty magazine. So, what should they do in an eco or pistol round, wait out the 40 seconds and waste precious time, or restrategize mid-round?
A third solution is to break Sage’s wall quickly as fast and efficiently as possible.
According to one Valorant player’s genius find, it takes only 3.7 seconds to break Sage’s wall with melee left clicks, making it the fastest guaranteed method.
This game-changing information will allow attackers to destroy the barrier without wasting precious bullets from a small magazine. Instead of using right-click melee, which takes 6.5 seconds to break the wall, use the left-click. The stab takes six attacks to break while the slash requires eight, making it much more efficient.
By repeatedly attacking the barrier, they can destroy it much quicker compared to slower right clicks. Three seconds is a massive amount of time in Valorant, and the relative silence compared to shooting prevents the enemy from knowing what gun the player is using.
If they take too long to destroy a barrier, enemies on the other side may call for backup. By the time the wall is gone, they’d be met with double the enemies. So players are going to make noise, it’s best to take action as quickly as possible to catch the enemy off guard.
