The best gym, Titan, and Star base order for Scarlet & Violet

Iono Gym Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

One of the best things about Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet is the freedom to do just about anything, but there’s still an intended order for gym, Titan, and Team Star battles.

While players can go to whatever gym or Titan or Team Star base they want, there is an order to them. Without knowing that route, it’s easy to get lost in the open-world Pokemon game. Luckily, there are two good routes for going through Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet’s map.

Players can choose how they want to experience the gym, Titans, and Star base order in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. The easiest routes go by level or by natural exploration.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gym, Titans, and Team Star base order from easiest to hardest

If players want to explore and come across gyms, Titans, and Team Star bases in the order from easiest to hardest, they should consider this checklist.

  • Cortondo Gym
  • Stony Cliff Titan
  • Artazon Gym
  • Open Sky Titan
  • Team Star’s Dark Crew
  • Levincia Gym
  • Team Star’s Fire Crew
  • Lurking Steel Titan
  • Cascarrafa Gym
  • Team Star’s Poison Crew
  • Medali Gym
  • Montenevera Gym
  • Quaking Earth Titan
  • Alfornada Gym
  • Glaseado Gym
  • Team Star’s Fairy Crew
  • False Dragon Titan
  • Team Star’s Fighting Crew

Taking on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s main content in this order will feel pretty easy. The order of these gyms, Titans, and Team Star bases makes it so that opponents are slightly increasing in level. Players should also be leveling up around the same pace, which keeps the game’s difficulty manageable.

Unfortunately, this route takes players all over the map. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing since returning to the Academy periodically is a good idea. There are classes to take and people to catch up with. However, for those who want to explore with more freedom, there’s another option.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gym, Titans, and Team Star by levels on the map

If players want to tackle everything in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet by order of enemy levels, this is how they should go.

  • Stony Cliff Titan
  • Cortondo Gym
  • Artazon Gym
  • Open Sky Titan
  • Team Star’s Fire Crew
  • Levincia Gym
  • Lurking Steel Titan
  • Team Star’s Dark Crew
  • Quaking Earth Titan
  • Cascarrafa Gym
  • Alfornada Gym
  • Team Star’s Poison Crew
  • Medali Gym
  • Glaseado Gym
  • Montenevera Gym
  • False Dragon Titan
  • Team Star’s Fairy Crew
  • Team Star’s Fighting Crew

This route will take players through the map a bit more leisurely. Several of these gyms, Titans, and Team Star bases are close together geographically. However, some of the areas may be a bit further apart in level. None of them are too difficult to do in this order, but some players may need to grind more.

Team Star

If players want to take this route, it’s important to get their team ahead from the start. Grinding may not be necessary for those who love exploring or filling the Pokedex, as they’ll naturally have higher-leveled Pokemon than those going from point A to point B.

This route also prioritizes the Titans, which opens up more exploration options. After defeating Titans in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, Miraidon and Koraidon get special overworld abilities. This includes things like flying and swimming, unlocking more areas around the map.
