T1 goes up against Hanwha Life Esports at the start of the second round of the LCK 2026. The two teams already faced off in week 1 of the split. At the time, T1 won the match convincingly, but it was also the only match that HLE lost. Now at 8-1, will HLE get their revenge and beat T1 in the LCK?
Betting tips: The Hanwha Life Esports of today isn’t the same as the one that T1 beat last month. With more time for their roster to find their footing, this team has become unbeatable. HLE is the favorite this time.

After their victory against KT Rolster, Hanwha Life Esports has established themselves as the best team in the LCK. Starting round 2, they face the one team that gave them a loss this split. However, T1 beat them in week 1, and HLE has looked progressively better with each passing week since then.
For a long time, HLE lived or died by the antics of Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok – and T1 has long been his kryptonite. As time went on though, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je and Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong found their synergy again.
Simultaneously, the marksman got used to playing with a different support, and Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo turned into a powerhouse while Kanavi’s consistency started going up.
With fewer and fewer happy games, HLE’s win against KT confirmed that they are now a legitimate first-place team. However, T1 also recently made changes. League’s flagship team recruited Lee “Easyhoon” Ji-hoon as a new coach, and results may already be showing.
For most of 2026, T1 hasn’t looked like themselves, and the temporary leave of head coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun hasn’t helped. Now with Easyhoon joining T1 once more after 11 years, he can also bring back some much-needed structure.
Lately, the defending world champions have been on a roll, going 2-0 in their four latest matches. However, those matches were all against teams in the bottom half of the standings. As such, it’s hard to draw clear conclusions from that, even though T1 has started looking cleaner.

With both teams significantly leveling up since their last encounter, this is a scary match to predict. HLE should have a clear edge were it not for T1 historically overperforming against them. Hanwha Life is still the favorite though, only with more uncertainty.
