T1 and DetonatioN Focusme are slated to face off for the first time in the VCT 2026 season. The match will take place on Feb. 13 at Sangam Colosseum, Seoul. The last time these two teams faced off against each other was at VCT Pacific Stage Two 2025. In this face-off, T1 defeated Detonation FocusMe in a dominant 2-0 clean sweep.

This season, DFM has been one of the surprise packages in the tournament.

In their first match against Gen G, the Japanese team shocked the world and defeated Gen G 2-0. This was a result that put all eyes on DFM.
Following that victory, they lost to RRQ in a 2-0 effort. Following that loss, the team was pushed into the middle bracket.
In the middle bracket, they went on a 3-game winning streak. In this run, they defeated the likes of Full Sense, Team Secret, and Global Esports.

The storyline was a bit different for the VALORANT Masters Bangkok Champions: T1. As T1 took part in VALORANT Champions 2025, they received a bye to the second round of the upper bracket.

In their first match of the tournament, they lost to Nongshim RedForce with a score of 2-1.
Following that game, similar to DFM, T1 went on an incredible 3-match winning streak.
During this streak, they defeated 3 of the favourites of VCT Pacific Kickoff 2026: Gen G, DRX, and Paper Rex. This resulted in pushing 3 of the favourites into the lower bracket.

Series breakdown

Going into this match, according to the VALORANT betting odds, T1 are the clear favourites to win the match. The reason for this is that they defeated some of the best-performing teams in the region. Alongside that, they are the champions of VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025. In this upcoming match, there are two players fans must keep an eye on: iZu from T1 and Meiy from DFM

If we take a look at iZu’s stats this tournament, they have an ACS of 216, a K:D ratio of 1.27, and a 24% clutch success rate.
Meiy, on the other hand, has an ACS of 241.8, an ADR of 154.9 & a 25% clutch success rate.
One must note that iZu is the primary flex of T1, while Meiy is the primary duelist for DFM.

In our opinion, T1 are the favourites to win. In the past, we have seen them lose after winning the first map, but the chances of that happening once again are quite low.

For DFM to win, they will need to play on the front foot and make sure they can beat the controlled playstyle seen by most South Korean teams.
